I had that problem too a few months post op and my dr said at a follow up to try a protein shake w more sugar in it, like Ensure or Carnation. It did help some. I was also drinking Premier or Pure Protein but I was starving an hour after drinking. When I ditched the protein shakes completely I felt less hungry. HW 295 SW 265 CW 175 Sleeved October 31, 2016

I'm so frustrated. I'm 4 months post op and I've not lost one single pound in 3 weeks. I've been eating around 1000 calories a day, high Protein, and working out like a mad woman 5 or more times a week. And when I say workout I'm doing HIIT training, so it's serious stuff. And nothing!! Help! Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

4 months post-op-stopped losing weight

I think I figured it out. Someone else suggested something similar, but their suggestion was to eat more carbs. I had 2 people tell me this. So I did for one day and I weighed the next day and was immediacy lighter than I have been in 2+ weeks. I know it's hard to gauge if that one day and one weigh in was the fix but I really feel like it was. I'll keep everyone posted. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I bet! I indulged a couple nights ago and had like 3 bites of pizza (white bread) and I lived to tell the story. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am 3 weeks as of yesterday. My dr approved soft foods after week 2. I wouldn't see why it would hurt to sample a couple favorites. Just nothing too hard (like nuts or raw veggies). Oh, and you said mash potatoes, does your dr allow that? Mine said no white potatoes, white rice or white Pasta for a YEAR! I can't imagine one bite or two would hurt though. Day 2! Every time I sipped I would take in too much air and burp a LOT. I tried a straw out of curiosity and had a much easier time. I drank everything from a straw pre-op. I did confess to my dr at my 1 week checkup and I was told as long as I'm not experiencing any issues it was ok. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
