    Milk

Is having a glass of milk considered one of your liquids for the day, or is it considered food? I don't think my system is quite ready for coffee yet, but I am craving something hot to drink. So I thought I would heat up a cup of milk and put in a spoonful of my Peanut Butter powder. Is that considered a drink? Or food? Sleeved 11/16 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Paranoid

OK here is what is on my mind. I keep having this paranoia in the back of my head, what if I'm one of those 2% people, weirdos that this doesn't work for. What if I don't lose this weight and I will always stay fat even after all of this pain and sacrifice. Things are going so super smooth. Almost so smooth, that it has me scared. And not just smooth, but very different than a lot of you guys experienced. Like I keep reading where people were saying they weren't hungry, or they're not hungry now, and they have to remember to eat. Well I get hungry. Sometimes really hungry. I also keep reading what people say they had to really build themselves up to their 2 to 4 ounces. That a week or two after the hospital they could hardly eat anything but a couple bites. I'm not having that issue. I'm getting my 2 to 4 ounces in just fine. I haven't had any issues introducing the soft moist foods, and other than some pain around around my incisions I just am not experiencing some of the issues that seem very common. So that has me in my mind wondering did it not work? I guess I'm just being a little paranoid about it. I just don't want to be fat anymore Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Milk

Yes, I had that problem when I first began this journey. You will find that a lot of the bariatric rules are different than normal nutrition rules. Especially the newer nutritional finds. For example, the latest consensus that sugar free products are bad for you, the margarine vs butter health debate and other food things like that. But with this surgery, some of that changes..lol. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sleeved 11/16/16 Starting weight :415 Pre surgery appt :412 Current :402

    Paranoid

Thanks! Incision wise I have had pain. But like you with the rest of it I have just kind a breeze through it. I mean a soon as my leak test was over and they let me start drinking Water, I drink two of those hospital containers full that day. I was having no issues keeping anything down getting in my fluids and like you anything I try now I tolerate great. So that is my fear, is that this isn't going to work, I'm going to backslide, I'm going to stretch it back out, you know all the fears that run through your mind ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sleeved 11/16/16 Starting weight :415 Pre surgery appt :412 Current :402

    Milk

Yes, The last few days for Breakfast, I have made my carnation instant milk hot so that it's a little bit more like hot chocolate and satisfies my craving for coffee in the morning. I had my postop appointment Tuesday, so he moved me from the full liquids to the soft moist stage I promise you when you finally get that first meal after being on liquids it will taste like the best meal you have ever had LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sleeved 11/16/16 Starting weight :415 Pre surgery appt :412 Current :402

    Post op hair loss

Oh my goodness, this scares me. I have very thin fine hair, and I am already balding a little in the front. I cannot afford to lose any hair. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Paranoid

Thanks! I appreciate the words of encouragement. I have had issues with pain around the two main incisions, a little more pain than I expected. However other than that, no issues with getting my Water or food down. So yea I guess I am scared I am doing it wrong, or will over eat and drew it up. Mind tricks I need to shake off. 11. Hi all, I am new to this forum. Stumbled across it while googling for answers. I had the sleeve done on Wednesday the 16th The issue I am having bad right now is pain. No matter how slow I drink, I am getting chest pains. I didn't have pain like this while in the hospital (came home yesterday) it just started today. No matter how small of a drink I take, I get an achy dull pain in the center of my chest. It does pass but comes back sharper once in a while. 2 of my incisions are still pretty painful as well. It seems to hurt and burn when I sit up, shift positions or anything else like that. Can anyone let me know if this is kinda normal? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
