I started my journey in June of this year. I decided to see Dr. Macik at Northside from a coworkers referral. Looking to see who also used him as their surgeon. I got notice that insurance was approved and the date has been placed on the schedule for Dec 28 2016. Who else In GA going thru Dr. MACIK.... I start the 14th. Trying to get some foods out my system before I start. I will present my self next Monday but my coworker is going to do me a kale smooth each day for Breakfast. I don't have to a liquid diet. I've was informed to do a low carb and don't gain weight so. Fast food no more and fried foods have to be more baked or grilled. Keep your eye on the prize which is a healthier you and God has you. Sorry that you have to go thru this but God will make you a stronger women in the end. If it doesn't want to be supportive that's ok. Maybe God is telling you something and you have to listen. The good thing is your son will be beside you and that's all that matters. I got my fork and spoon also but I didn't get several. Should I. They weren't plastic kind. Please advise. Trying to get everything that is needed. I got the supply cups and mesh strains along with the meanings cups and spoons. Now I have to get Vitamins and soup and sugar free popsicle and Water and juice. My list also mentions baby food. I haven't had to purchase that since my kids were babies. This is a lot but I know at the end it will be worth it for life. I said the same thing. And they told no. Too. I told them everybody on this app is durning a liquid diet am I. No. The secretary said no bread pasta. Veggies and no fast food. I can eat meat and drink plenty of water. I will do kale and collards along with salads and grill or broil my meats. I can't gain any weight... I wish everyone the best. Everybody keep saying liquids but my doctor didn't say that when I start on 14th. He just said Don't gain weight and Do a low no carb basically. No bread no fried foods or Pasta. Why so many. Is that because of your insurance? I only went to the nutrition once. I would say from July to now things went by quick. Once they had all my paper work and submitted to the insurance company it came back quick. Dr.Macik wanted to do the surgery this month but I had just transfered to another position in Sept and I won't be within my 90 days til Dec 7th. Plus the kids are out of school arounder that time so it all worked out for the best. Keep me posted. Hopefully it won't take long for your PCP to do what they need and send your stuff back. It's definitely because of my insurance. My last visit is in January, so it won't be until February. I'm mad because I have to wait, and because I will have to pay a lot because my deductible won't be met by then. I'm at a loss for words...No worries. It will be fine In due time.
