  1. I've been reading so many posts online including pamphlets I've been given on what to and what not to do post Gastric Bypass. Im three weeks out and I'm starting puréed stage. Now, I've been reading comments that you shouldn't have more than 2 oz of purée at a time. Im in shock! I've been comfortably eating a cup of Soup or Greek yogurt at a time! And I don't have to eat slowly. I eat at a moderate pace. Now I'm sooooo worried. Even if I didn't pop a stitch, could I have put a strain on one or two of my stitches and caused a weak spot? I'm a perfectionist and the thought of ruining my pouch and the good work the surgeon did is killing me. I can't stop thinking about it! Also, how much SHOULD I be eating at a meal? Holy Carbs Batman!

On both liquids and purees I've been consuming approximately 3/4 to 1 cup comfortably. Now I'm worried. Am I eating too much? I'm almost 4 weeks post op. Yikes!

  8. Hi! Is there anyone out there who is or has been one week post op Gastric Bypass and feel /felt completely normal? I'm not complaining and I'm not asking for complications but honestly, I'm talking no nausea, no pain, no diarrhea, no sipping of anything, no timing my eating. Everything fine! I even have an appetite!!! What the hell! No lie, today is day 9 post op and I just ate Greek yogurt with whole fresh blueberries. I ate it about an hour ago. Nothing. A little full. But fine. I was told my surgeon is a genius and that I was really lucky to have him do my surgery. Is he really that good that I feel like my stomach is still in tact? I'm not feeling any of what others are feeling. I'm a bit worried that when I heal and I'm able to eat regularly, that I'll feel safe to just eat anything and lose the control I thought I would gain from having this surgery and gain back weight!!!! Can anyone relate? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

No problems eating... is that ok?

I'm 10 days post op Gastric Bypass and feeling so damn guilty. Its very difficult for me to follow guidelines. I was told that I'm allowed full fluids. I figured that meant I could eat pretty much anything I could turn into liquid form. So for about a week now I've been liquifying bottles of baby food with organic chicken broth. The baby food is a variety of Pasta, chicken or beef and vegetables. It's in liquid form so I drink 30ml every 15 minutes up to 90 minutes. But now I feel guilty because maybe I shouldn't be doing this. I haven't had any problems with any of what I've been eating. Getting in all my Protein, my fluids and I've been losing weight. Also, how many calories should I be eating daily at this stage? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  13. Yeah. Since surgery (9 days ago) I've lost 7 lbs. By the way, I WAS given a food plan. I was just feeling a bit like "Superwoman" and thought "why not have some blueberries with my yogurt?". Just had an urge to chew something I guess. Dumb I'm sure but guess what? No nausea. Nothing. Just full which is a good thing! But I'll listen to you guys. No more being adventurous. Also wanted to mention though. I've been blending baby food in my magic blender with organic chicken broth. So I've been eating chicken and vegetables with Pasta. Beef stroganoff etc. All baby food. But like I said. Turning them into liquid. Just so I can have some variety. Is this ok? By the way, I've been getting my 90 grams of Protein in every morning. Also getting in all my liquids.
