I have two more days to hit 6 weeks post op. I cannot wait to be able to eat a raw veggie or two. I seen a blt made with a piece of romaine instead of the bread in my fb newsfeed and I have been waiting for 2 weeks to have one of these breadless blts...can't wait! I just had to share, lol, I'm excited and only you all would understand why! Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app

No Negative Comments! Did anyone cheat during Pre op
Kiwi_N_Rio replied to Misha42000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I cheated on my pre op diet by choosing different forms of protein. Mine wasn't all liquid but allowed yogurt and SF pudding and popsicles. I don't like those things so once a day I had some chicken breast until about 3 days before surgery. I still followed the rest of the diet though. Homemade beef broth from a slow cooked beef roast saved me. It tasted good and was satisfying. I froze some for post op liquids. As long as you can put yourself back on track, don't beat yourself up. No one is perfect, though some people on here like to think they are. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Incision Question: When to stop applying dressings
Kiwi_N_Rio replied to AK_Bookworm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had glue, no dressings. I was allowed to get them wet at 3 days post op. Showered before leaving the hospital. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app -
As your stomach heals and the swelling goes down, you are able to eat more. That is normal according to my NUT. I'm only 5 weeks out but I know as I heal I will be able to eat more. I follow the guidelines from my NUT as to how much and how many times a day to eat. Normally I can eat a scrambled egg with cheese for breakfast. Today I tried adding a piece of bacon. I could only eat half a piece and a few bites of egg. Since the bacon is so dense it takes up more room so I ate less. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app

Please Help: Struggling with Liquid Meds
Kiwi_N_Rio replied to TeacherBae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The liquid pain medicine tasted awful. It would make me nautious. So, my NP prescribed Narco for me. The pills are easy to get down and only require a drink of water. My surgery was on 4/24 and at my one week post op check I was still experiencing a lot of pain so I was prescribed a muscle relaxer. I take it twice a day and don't need the narco anymore. Call your Dr and ask for something in pill form Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app -

From what I understand, this incision is where they pulled the stomach through.
