Today was my first day on the lathe for some serious wood cutting since before surgery. I discovered an unintended (or unforeseen) consequence. My smock which keeps the wood chips from going down the inside of my shirt is now too big, and cannot be tightened enough to be snug around my neck. And believe it or not, I have a funny story about this, which involves wood chips, Mrs. LittleBill's underwear, and threats made to my safety. Hundreds of people at demos have heard it.

She was pretty emphatic about that. She got right in my face and said, "There are wood chips in my underwear - AFTER I put them through the laundry! You WILL get a smock and you WILL wear it!" When I tell the whole story, people are rolling in the floor. I finish it up with the admonition that there are only two letters that need to change to go from marital to martial.
