I'm making up for lost time in that stall! Down three more pounds in just a couple days. Pretty soon I'll be able to hide behind a telephone pole.

Don't ask me how I stumbled on this. I'm not really sure. But I thought it would offer up a little comic relief - on a couple of levels - concerning an oft discussed topic.

I'm actually somewhat older than the target demographic for them, but I got hooked on the show when I was still working in the corporate world, and getting home late at night after working second shift in a retail store. It drives Mrs. LittleBill nuts. You said "nuts". Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh (Beavis and Butthead laugh). I can't even write what I want to, because I don't know you well enough, dumb...

@@theantichick I can relate. Way back in 1999, we went camping in Gettysburg. We got in late because of a number of things, so my parents took us all out to eat at one of the local diners. It was awful. It was so awful that after 45 minutes after taking our order, we still had no food. Our youngest daughter was all of 7 years old, and was practically crying from hunger. After a couple of complaints, our waitress came out to announce that she didn't really like this job, and was looking for something else. I was ready to kill and cook her. Then the manager came out to apologize for the waitress, who I hope was fired by that time. But she wasn't. We survived. I had to bite my tongue to the point where I thought my teeth would met in the middle, because Mom and Dad were paying. It was hard, but we are all still alive, and doing well. I do not know bout that waitress. She is probably living on welfare now.

Just to add on to this thread here. I have encountered many more waiters and waitresses than I can remember. Some of them are not the brightest, but just about all of them are motivated to provide good service. There have been a few, though, who have received my ire... Mrs. LittleBill is extremely sensitive to gluten. All it takes is a few milligrams to make her sick for days. And it isn't like she is feigning it. It's the kind of thing where she will become ill, and then we have do to some forensic work to figure out what she ate that caused it. We've had waitresses ask if she wants white bread since she is allergic to wheat. We have had them theorize that the heat from the deep fryer will kill the gluten, rendering it harmless. We get all kinds of cockamamie stuff. Fast forward to bariatric surgery. I can't drink and eat at the same time. I can't eat most of what is on my plate at any restaurant. I can't even try to 'splain it to the server, because it is a lost cause, and it really isn't any of their business. So here is what I do. First, I order Water for my drink. I can even sip some of it depending on how long it is going to take them to produce the food. Second, I order something that is bariatric friendly - i.e. Protein rich and very little, if any bad carbs. And I plan to take at least half of it home. Finally, I deflect any questions by saying that my satisfaction will be reflected in my tip. I am a generous tipper. These people work hard, for very little pay, and often for people who have an entitlement attitude. It costs me very little to give them a few extra dollars, and they remember me the next time I come in. And, servers share information about customers. In the diners we frequent, even the noob waitresses treat us well. Part of that comes from being nice to them, but part comes from the veterans saying, "These are good people". Word really does get around, on both sides.

We call this the 'fine china' in our house...reserved for highfalutin' guests that we get from time to time Hahahahaha! Mrs. LittleBill refers to the carton of half and half as our "cut glass pitcher" when she puts it out on the table after dinner. Yeah, I'm going to be living it up tonight. Feet up, volume up, drinking Ensure right from the bottle and throwing the empties on the floor.

Or you're not overly sensitive and looking to be offended when you ask for justification to eat tacos 45 minutes post op. Or you're not overly sensitive and looking to be offended when you ask for justification to eat tacos 45 minutes post op. Everyone knows that it isn't safe to eat taco's 45 minutes post op; you need to wait 1 hour. They could be soft tacos. could you pureeeeee said taco and drink it...does that count as liquid........ JK..... LMAO That early in the game, it is going to be pureed on the way in or the way out. There's no getting around it.

Everyone knows that it isn't safe to eat taco's 45 minutes post op; you need to wait 1 hour. That's swimming. No SWIMMING for an hour post op. I never go swimming while eating tacos, so that's not a problem for me. If you go swimming while eating tacos, you can have your own jacuzzi.

The picture, or myself in the mirror? I'm not sure I am up for the latter.

There is an ignore button, as has already been mentioned. It is not like blocking people on Facebook, where they virtually cease to exist. You will still see that someone you have ignored has posted, and then that itch of curiosity starts in. What did they write? Did they mention my name? I have to know! So you end up reading it anyway. Of course, by now you may have found the ignore button, and aren't seeing any of this.

Probably the last quiet day at the gym for a while
LittleBill replied to LittleBill's topic in Fitness & Exercise
For reasons beyond my control, I have not even been able to make it to the gym since I started this thread. I am almost afraid to go. I've got the ole stationary bike here at home to keep me somewhat honest though. -
I have a very funny story involving super glue. It does not involve gluing any mouths shut, and it was extremely NOT funny at the time. But those kinds of things are the fodder for funny stories later on.

For those of you who did not have "food funerals":

No offense was intended. In the top picture, was that Jesus's Jewish neighhbors, the 3 Weismans? None taken. I have told many a joke from the pulpit - in the middle of hellfire and brimstone sermons. I have taught for years that God has a sense of humor. Where else would we get ours? As for the three Weismans, I am going to have to remember that one. -
@@Hiraeth I laughed out loud about the *taps foot* comment. For many years in my business, I have told people, "I may be slow, but I'm reliable." Thank you for your kind words.

@@4MRB4PHOTO You are a bad man. But then, we all are. I am what most folks would call devout. But I posted this one on my Facebook the other day. -
I had a day just like that today too, only I was hungry all day because stuff kept getting in the way of my being able to eat! Better days are coming for both of us though. Good job holding out.

HELP! Freaking out - need honest feedback
LittleBill replied to minervaxx6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@LisaKatz I agree with you on a couple of things here. I walked almost a mile in the half day I was in the hospital after surgery. I also agree with finding a more positive group. Who needs a bunch of people gassing on about the bad stuff? -

LittleBill replied to minervaxx6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It wasn't just tolerable for me, it was practically nonexistent. Regardless of my or anyone else's experience though, yours will be your own, and we are all different. The good news is, it does not last.
