HI everyone I'm new to this site, I'm new to really talking to anyone who has had this surgery in general. I actually know nobody! But I wanted to share my progress pic with you all! HW 318 SD 260 Today! 196 I am loving life and would really like to meet more people like myself who understand what I am going through. I have been stalled since December of 2015 so 1 year maintain but I really want to reach my goal weigh of 175.

Hello New to the group question
shmwest replied to Sherelle28441's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing it for you, not for anyone else remember that first and foremost. It isn't easy especially since weightless surgery is not a guarantee and you have to change everything for the rest of your life! How you eat, when you eat, where you eat, how many Vitamins you take, making sure you're getting enough Protein. It's better to look at it as a tool to your continued success at weightloss vs "the easy way out." You will probably encounter this a lot, you just have to say it's your personal journey and how you decide to do it is up to you. You never have to explain your reasons for anything you do especially to a coworker. Good luck and I wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery! What have you noticed as being your biggest change? I had to deal with a complete change in "friends" because I used to be the big girl in my group then I became what seemed like competition. Sent from my SM-N910W8 using the BariatricPal App

Does it ever feel normal again.

Just stay strong! Eventually it will all calm down and you'll get used to your new stomach. Some days are better then others but it is all worth it once you learn how your stomach works again! Keep up the great work and stay strong! Sent from my SM-N910W8 using the BariatricPal App
