Hope you all had a great weekend, it was nice and soggy here in Texas. Today is my first day back at work! I will probably be pretty tired by day end. Life without a fill SUCKS!!! I am hungary all the time, my stomache growls constantly. I am hopeing to start exercising again this week, starting slowly. I just got to stop eating things!!!!! I cannot get filled until August, since I have to have another surgery on June 29th to have a stint removed in my bile duct. June will be a LOOOONNNGGG month!!! LOL

Lisa, I am so sorry you are going through all this. I know it is hard, I am struggling too being unfilled. But you do need to get your mental health in check because alot of us have the mental things that keeps us eating the wrong foods. I will send good thought and prayers your way. You feel free to dump on us anytime you need too, thats what we are here for!!!!

Julie, I wanted to get that issue, did those girls have tummy tucks afterwards. there stomaches look so flat, i'm jealous!!!

Happy Mother's day to all you beautiful mother's out there..... I am doing well, just get frustrated that I wear out so quickly. Still pretty sore. Will still be out of work a couple more weeks, I go to the doctors tomorrow. Doing ok being unfilled, it's hard, but i am steadily bouncing betwwen 155 and 158, and not going beyond. Not to bad since I was 160 the day before my first surgery. I got a couple pairs of pants today for mother's day, they are a juniors size 9, that seems so amazing from where i was a year ago. Our bandanniversary is sneaking up quickly. Hope you all are doing well. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes from everyone.

just wanted to say hi everyone. I am home and trying to get stronger each day. But the swelling is going down, and so is the scale, wonder what 6 days in the hospital with no food will do. I hit my 100lbs loss today down to 155. so at least there is a ray of sun in my darkness right now.

still have my band, but it is empty. I hope it is still ok, but right now don't know anything about it.

Hello everyone, I haven't posted for a while and with good reason, you see there is a story to be told here and it is one of great trama for me. The last time I posted on here was to let you all know I was recovering very well from my gallbladder surgery on Tuesday the 17th, things were going so good until I woke up on Saturday morning. My hubby had fallen asleep on the couch in the front room and my daughter and I had fallen asleep in my bed, things were good. I woke up around 7am and had a little ache in my back, i went into the kitchen and started the coffee pot, then back to my bedroom where I went to the bathroom. While going to the bathroom things started feeling weird, something was happening, I stood and couldn't straighten, i walked out of my pants and into the frontroom slowly, my 6yr old DD woke and asked me if I was ok, I couldn't answer, I fell onto a chair, she woke DH up and said something is wrong with mommy, he came to me and tried to get me to respond to him, I could hear him but I couldn't respond, then the screaming started, my whole middle section of my body had completely seized up in a giagantic spasm that would not release, my eyes were bulging from my head and my face was drooping, my hubby was freaking, he thought for sure I was having a stroke. Now remember we live in podunk Texas so it took a little time to get me to the hospital. Once there they started running test and were at a loss, the attacks kept coming and each one was just a little worse, finally Sunday late afternoon they figured out what was happening, they releazed that I had a bile duct leak and that poisenes bile had been leaking into my stomache for now 5 days and it was litterally seizing my organs. Sunday evening I went in for surgery, they wanted to go down through my gi tract and try to put a stint in the duct to repair the leak, so they did, but when they got in there they realized that wasn't going to work because there was actually a tear in the duct, they went ahead and put the stint in though to slow it down some. On Monday morning I was scheduled for another surgery to repair the tear, they went in laperscopicly and opened up the original holes from the 1st surgery but one they got in there the tear was to hard to repair and the poisen was so bad they had to open me up. I awoke up after that with tubes in my nose and throat and and a hole in my side with a pump draining poisen from my stomache, but I was alive. It was touch and go after that, they feared my kidneys had been damaged and they knew my pancreas was full of infection. I was bound and determined not to give up. I spent a miserable 6 days in that hospital fighting for my life, I am now home with a long recovery ahead of me, I have a 10 inch gash in my stomache and still have the drainage tubes in my side, but the infection is GONE and hopefully will have no long term damage from this. I am very tramatized I have trouble sleeping because when I close my eyes I remember the pain of my body shutting down on me, my body jerks when i try to relax because of the trama it has endured. But Thank God I am alive. So as I travel this long road of recovery please pray for me. I no this is long but I wanted my support people out there to know that I am here but do NOT for one moment take your life for granted, it can change in the blink of an eye. I'll post when I can. Misty, I had it done at medical city in dallas. Well I am healing just still sore, yesterday I went out of the house and got my hair cut and a pedicure and manicure, I figured even if I felt bad i didn't have to look bad. LOL, my hubby didn't like it he said not to do too much but I told him I wasn't doing anything but sitting there and letting them pamper me. hehe

Morning all, I am doing well, little sore but not too bad at all. I am very swollen though. I have 4 more holes in my stomache on the right side this time, so I now will have little scars all over my belly. My right shoulder has really hurt bad since the surgery but it seems better this morning. This surgery for me seemed easier than the band. Thank you so much Poodles for coming to visit me last night. It is always nice to see your cheery face!!! Thanks for all the prayers and good vibes. They were all felt!!! My scale has went up 7lbs but it might just be cause I'm so swollen, boy I hope so. Sorry to hear you all are having such fill problems. I feel for ya because I know I am super sensitive to fills also. And now I have to start all over again. Well take care everyone.

Hey guys. Well I am having surgery Tommorrow (Tuesday) at 12:30. I got totally unfilled on friday so now I am having to really be careful. Pain has gotten pretty bad, so I am ready to get this sucker out of here!!! Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayer's. I will check back in after my surgery when I get a chance. I don't think the lapband is related to my gallbladder, I think it is more of a weight loss issue, because I have heard from a lot of people that had to have their's out after weight loss even without the band. I am going to try and do 1 more turbo kick class tonight even with the pain, I want to get one more good workout in b4 I can't for a few weeks. Take care everyone!!!

Hey guys, Just got back from my ultrasound, looks like I am going back under the knife again, gallbladder has to come out. Little depressed right now, been throwing up since they told me, stress i guess. Don't have any details yet, will let ya'll know when i do.

Hello everyone, I need to hear from you bandsters out there that have had gallbladder problems. I know many of you had yours taken out during your banding procedure, but I really need to hear from the ones that felt the symptoms coming on. Please explain how it feels and what problems you expierenced. Also how long did you wait b4 having it checked out. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

well I hope the ultrasound scan isn't a waste of time. My delima is, I only have free fills for my first year, my year is up in June, so if I have to be unfilled and have surgery I dont want to be starting over again with fills when I have to start paying for them. That would really suck!!!

did ya'll that are having hidda scans have ultrasound scans too that didn't show anything?

oh ok Wheetsin I was confused thanks for clearing that up. Well I talked to my doc again, he wants me to have an ultrasound so I have one scheduled for tommorrow. I guess we will see. Thanks everyone for responding.

Thanks Wheetsin. This has been going on for several weeks and at first it was very mild kind of like a ring of bloating and gas around upper mid section but more prominently on my right side. it didn't last to long at first and it was milder. It was happening every few days it seemed. Now it is getting worse, pain is much sharper. Kinda feels like spasms. I have talked to the doctor and they think I need to have an ultrasound. Like yesterday and today it has happened and I have not eaten anything, but I have had coffee.I just do NOT want to have surgery again. I am so close to goal and I am fearing an unfill and starting over. I just want it to go away. I know that it is probably stupid on my part because when I was 12 my mother's gallbladder actually burst and she almost died. I was just wanting feedback to see if what I am feeling sounds like anyone else when there's started acting up.

Alex, I just now read this thread for the first time. I am really praying everything has worked out for you!You are a very strong and encouraging woman and I know what ever is dealt to you, you will handle with grace. You were one of the people on here that encouraged me every step of the way while I was fighting my insurance company to get my band. Please keep us updated!!!

Mine is scar tissue, and I am 9months out and it is very prominent now. My delima is though that the port used to be about 1 1/2 inches below the knot, and now since I have lost weight the port is directly underneath it. They have told me that I will never be able to have fills without fluro now because the scar tissue is so hard to get the needle through.....
