Well, we have something in common.I too was banded on the 3 of March and like you I have 75 lbs. loose. i FEEL better every day but looking forward to something to consume with substance. I was wondering if you had to be on a liquid diet two wks. before your surgery? I was not told to do that,except two days prior to surgery to fast. -

It will be one week since my band was installed,I was wondering if on the second week I could consume maybe some cream of mushroom soup or should I just stick to the clear stuff other then the protein drink? Don't I sound like a Buick?........ -
Well i feel exactly as you do. I am 5 days into this ordeal,and still feel this awful discomfort in my shoulders as well as upper back. I can drive do laundry and lite chores and have been since day 3,But this shoulder thing is a real bummer.Thank you for the advice about milk of mag. I'll try it.Best remedy for shoulder pain, walking and massage.

I am on day 4 not to much pain and the doctor put a patch behind my ear to prevent that sick feeling, it worked. Side effects are extreme cotton mouth. I know you will feel better after this week is over. Hang in there!!

I was banded on 3/03/08 and the thing that has me in discomfort is my shoulders, and when i take a deep breath, then i can feel the gas in my upper back. I shower and walk around do lite chores and drive the kids to school. All that feels fine.The doctor used glue on the ports and sometimes when i get up it feels like i came unglued, but not the case just feels that way. I feel better every day! can we drink coffee at this stage?
