I'm April 26th too!

Does anyone have amerihealth caritas in Pennsylvania who already had surgery and could tell me how long it took for approval? Mine was just submitted on Friday so obviously it isnt approved yet lol just curious on how long so i know when i should start calling! My sleeve Surgery is scheduled for april 26th!

I was told nothing over 10 pounds the first 2 weeks post op. My daughter will be 10 months old when i have surgery next month and is 20+ pounds, i dont know how im going to do it[emoji30][emoji24]

Just left my surgeons office, got my date of april 26th! I feel like its so far away haha but its nice to finally have my date. All i have to get done is my last few appointments with my program and and endoscopy/preop testing. I am scheduled for the sleeve but may change due to acid reflux/heartburn, if i show signs of damage from it he will change to by-pass. Im just so excited to start this journey!! Yay! Someone who has the same date haha lets keep in touch! I have completed everything besides my final class and last weigh in which is tomorrow so im basically completely lol then everythig gets sent to insurance, and the first week of april i start preop testing! I am beyond excited i just cant wait to have a new start[emoji4]

My first appointment with my surgeon is on February 9th as well! I am 4 months through my 6 month program and i am super excited to see what the surgeon has to say! Okay; so i had a baby 6.5 months ago, and i was breast feeding up until she was about 2 months which was when i started my 6 month program. I was weighed right before i stopped and mu initial weight was 256. But since i stopped breastfeeding all the fat calories that were going into my milk held on to my body and i gained 8 pounds in a month. I am on month 4 out of 6 and Since that i haven't gained anything, but im worried because i did gain that insurance may have a problem. I do think i will lose weight on the 2 week liquid diet before surgery and im sure i can lose that 8 maybe even more. I have ameriheath in Pennsylvania and the requirements for me are bmi of 40 or higher with no health problems or bmi of at least 35 with two health problems. Also for me it was a 6 month program (im on my 4th month), and just like most others its a visit with a dietitian and psych eval. I hope that helped! Also if you go to google and type in your insurance provider and put requirements for bariatric surgery it should bring you a form! I have been on a diet plan through my pcp for months with weight loss medication. I wonder if that would be acceptable. Mine is through the surgeon but im not sure! Last September i was all set up for my appointments and everything was good to go and then i found out i was pregnant. I stopped, had my daughter and then restarted the program again (currently 3/6 months completed). Insurance didn't require me to wait any specific time before restarting but my insurance required consecutive months so since i was pregnant for 10 months i had to restart this past September.
