Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App Give it some time, try and push to get bigger sips everyday. You'll get there. People also eat SF popsicles... Success!! I was able to tolerate turkey manwich!! So happy as fish was not working! Tuna was a no go yesterday, major pain. And, I found a splendia brown sugar that I put on my sweet potato with cinnamon... Really satisfying. Funny how we are all different as to what foods we can tolerate. You have to Constantly sip/ drink..Take your Water bottle with you everywhere. And I mean walking from kitchen to bedroom, living room to bathroom. Sounds funny? It's how I get 75 oz of just water (not including decaf coffee) I am never without my water. I have been doing this since surgery. First few days I sipped slowly, now 3 weeks post op I am able to drink and not sip, have been for awhile. As long as your urine is pale yellow you are hydrated. Keep trying because staying hydrated is so important. Oh...I even drink a little when I wake up middle of the night. Good luck! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App -
I would go shopping mid May to decide what you like and find out how long alterations take. If it's only a week or so, you could purchase 1st or second week in June, there won't be a huge difference in 2 weeks, the dress will still fit. Make sure to wear your shapewear when trying on! Good luck! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

@ dvallas ... I know what you mean. So...Last night was rough with the halibut, not really sure if I overcooked it but it was like way to meaty for me. I got sick a few hours later I tried some pulled chicken I measured it to 2.5 ounces all was going well and then I tried one or two bites of avocado, and then that put me over the edge major stomach pains throwing up for at least an hour or two. I really don't know when I'm full with this new stomach , in pureed Stage I was able to tolerate a half cup sometimes a tiny bit more as long as I measured I was good. it seems the solid food is taking up more room my stomach. Ugh Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App -

Alexis99 replied to genn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was able to have shrimp one month post op and honestly that was the one meat I could tolerate. Nothing else agreed with me for another two weeks after that. Now I'm allowed anything. But I always eat my Protein first. Usually I don't have room for much else. HW 289 CW 230 bypass 11/22/16 Thanks, which brings me to my next question..Since you are mainly eat just protein are you adding benefiber to your diet? @ladyb..I start low residue Thursday and while I kinda hated pureed, I am a little nervous about moving to real foods for the reasons you speak about. Are you saying you can't eat ground turkey yet? I hope I can, it's such a healthy go to. What have you tolerated well and did you have GB? Thanks!! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App -

How did you do in the pureed stage? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App -
I have a ninja and it made the pureed stage a breeze. I can't imagine a regular blender getting meat to a smooth consistency. We make smoothies everyday for the kids though, so it wasn't just for me. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

Ditto everyone else, you look great!! What were you eating that you didn't lose it that fast? I would like to do the same to prevent some sagging skin as well. Although I've birthed 2 kids, guessing the belly has no chance. Thanks for sharing, great advice!! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

@oustide.. Love your response. Question, did you consider yourself a food addict before surgery? Curious to know if there are former addicts that found long term success. Thank you! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
