Anyone have gastric sleeve and then find out you were diagnosed with Lyme disease?
dr3am3rstarz replied to dr3am3rstarz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg! Thank you for the replies. My surgeron isn't lyme literate by any stretch, but my LLMD saw it has a plus, during the detox, I can detox the colds and illnesses stored in the fat at the same time as the illnesses. That is the only reason I went through with it! Your words make me feel better. I hope to be off narcotics very soon as well, and be feeling better. Even able to exercise. I haven't been so far. @@Aggiemae are you still having symptoms? How long did it take you to feel better? Thank you!!! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App -

I was sleeved on 11/28 and before that diagnosed with Lyme disease and pcos. I have never has a huge problem with bruises before. My Iron count is showing fine. It's not where my surgery incisions are, but in other places, like under my arms, under my chin, and upper thighs and bottoms of hands. I look like I have been in a fight. I haven't....they are the size of grapefruits. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

I picked up plastic childrens forks, knives and spoons just for the occasion. I got an entire set, like six place settings for 2 dollars at my local ikea. Great place to look for non brand name portion control containers. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

Did they give you something for the gas pain? They basically, pump you up with a bunch of gas so that they can see the field better. Gasx helps tremendously.. the strips and the chewables. Talk to your doctor. I am post op 11/28 and still feel minor pain from the gas, but it's getting better. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

will the weight come back say in 7 to 10 years?
dr3am3rstarz replied to leeann71's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was just recently sleeved on 11/28/2016. I knew that food addiction was going to be a problem for me, so I needed to have a therapist, in addition to my food/sleeve support groups. It's not just important, it's necessary. Because, this is the the biggest change I'll ever make, and food isn't the devil, but it can become it. :)That got away from me, ummm Best advise, Therapist!! -

Hey mine is Monday following Thanksgiving as well, I'm planning on going out and wishing for the best, what kind of Pre op diet are u doing? Mine starts this Monday☺ Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App Mine also starts this Monday. It's two Protein shakes in the morning and lunch, and then 4 oz protein 4 oz of veggies at dinner. Any amount of broth and sugar free Popsicle. I started it a bit early. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to loose the weight needed in time. Good luck to you, looks like we will be in surgery on the same day! -
