OK, where did everybody go? Must be the improvement in the weather. Not too hot, a little rain here and there, Cool mornings. I've just about run out of vacation, so I can only ride to work and on the days when they don't require my presence. Being on the top of the overtime list, I get to work a lot more than I want. Carol, did you get your baby back?

Forgive my ignorance....

PB - productive burp (you get a little food coming up with it.) sliming - your body trying to wash something thru with mucous. If it won't go thru the mucous comes up. Very little or no food. -
Chris, that is fantastic! Good job and keep up the outstanding work...
-
Well Jim, so far all we've gotten is a little sprinkle. I live about halfway between Houston and Dallas. But Carol is down San Antone way and they got hit pretty hard. I've heard of several that have died in the flooding. Belinda, congratulations on the band and welcome to the thread. Tell us about your last ride. When we can't ride we live vicariously thru others...LOL
-
Carol, Got it in my phone (again). Will call. Probably the 1st or 2nd. Gotta drop off something for the mother in law and then going to hightail it to Shreveport to celebrate our 32nd. Would love to see your pics and hear your stories, but you gotta put up with mine, too. LOL
-
Jim, sounds like you're on the right road. Congratulations on that loss! You'll be tearing down the other road in no time. Carol, now that you're back and safe and sound in your home, you get a......wait for it......TROPICAL STORM! Yeah, that's what we need around here, more frickin' rain. Sheesh! I read the other day, out where I work, we've had over 50 inches, as of the 6th. Joy and I are going to be in your area some time next month. I would call, but I lost your number. New phone....*sigh* oh well. Ride dry! LOL

Ain't that the truth? I had to be back in the coal mine on Sunday. Joy was in Atlanta visiting the daughter unit while I was riding. She made it home on Wednesday. I think it is pretty cool that we both just stuck out on our own. And I'm glad that we BOTH made it back in one piece.

Hey Carol, did you make it? I did!!!! Made the whole trip by my lonesome. Four days up, one day to sightsee, two days back home. I did Devil's Tower, Sturgis, Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse. Rode thru Wind Cave Nat'l Park. Saw the Bison, prong-horn antelope, deer. Won $150 in Deadwood. Got all the pics, pins, patches and keychains. Total miles for the trip were 2972. Left out Friday the 3rd and got back Thursday the 9th. I'm tired......

Carol, you folks have a good trip and be safe. I'll be coming up that way but not sure if I'll make it to Sturgis. Just a chance to see some new territory. I'll probably be leaving on Thursday...I thought you weren't leaving until the 4th? Keep your knees in the breeze, hon! Enjoy!

Right now...whether its blaring from the PC speakers, your audio system or your MP3, what's playing? I'm sitting here listening to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me." Before that was Gary Morris "The Wind Beneath My Wings." What are you listening to?

Hey Pat, lookin' good, girl! When are we going to see some before and after pics in the Before and After thread??? Have you had any problems with the TT?

Welcome to the Southern Route of Run For The Wall XIX (2007) This would be the link that I was referring to. (Gray moment)
Go down the page and click on the May 27th link and then go down to the bottom.....or look at all the pics.
-
Carol, will do. And I'm still thinking about it. LOL I thought some of you folks might enjoy checking out some pictures from the Run For The Wall 2007. This link goes to Rolling Thunder on Memorial Day. Three of the last four pictures are the Pentagon Parking lot and about half a million bikes. Wooohoooo! I did that ride two years ago. It's an awesome sight.

Husband or significant other help
MyKdsDad replied to dmulkey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Let's see......crying jags! Pains from not eating, eating too much, indigestion....messed up periods, no periods, 18 months of periods (my wife had some tumors and they started acting up the day of her surgery). Try not to be the FOOD POLICE, but it's hard. Be prepared to make several trips out to "find" her something that she can eat. And then watch her throw it away because she can't. Watch her eat all of the wrong things with no problem and not be able to eat any of the right things (go figure). Let her buy new clothes...or...watch her wear the same old things until someone asks her what she did with the truck load of ragpickers she use to have in her caboose. And then she STILL refuses to buy any NEW clothes. Most of all, just be there...a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on. Someone to support her decision and protect her from the ones that would "hurt" her. You know.......SUPERMAN. -
Oh heck yeah, Carol. :whoo:Matter of fact, after we got thru test driving the equipment :biggrin1: we went on several rides. A couple we had to dodge the showers but it was great. Like yesterday, we lit out from here and just tooled off into the countryside, going nowhere fast. Got several miles out of town and watched someone getting dumped on, over to the west about 10 or 12 miles. :rain:Joy didn't want to take the superslab back, so we stayed on Hwy 75 and just sort of enjoyed the ride and the cool temps. When we hit town, I treated her to a DQ Blizzard :clap2: and we sat outside and watched the traffic whiz by. It was great! You should have stopped by here when you went to Forney. I've actually got some relatives that live there, too.

New to this from Western NC!

guinessgirl, welcome to the forum. Any questions you have can be answered by SOMEONE here, for sure. My wife is the banded one and I do the research and support. Good luck with all the hoops and stick with it. It IS worth it. -
Hey deb, tell hubby that he can ride bitch and you'll do the driving....LOL I'm sure that will go over like a lead balloon. I've got a brother who is a cop in Fort Worth, motorcycles. And as far as the singing goes...I don't know about scaring the birds, but we do scare a lot of cows around these parts. We even have one of our riders who sports a cow bell on his "Kowasaki". Carol, I'm sooooooo excited....hehehe
-
Carol, not yet. Maybe I'll just wander around the country until I get some direction?? Or divine inspiration??? Joy is doing well. We're headed back for her 3 weeks check up, tomorrow. I'm waiting for the all clear. I may get a room on the way home. I wonder where I could get one for a few hours.... LOL And it ain't that big, folks. Don't let her fool you. Welcome macacoza. Are you planning on Sturgis this year? Renee, I always thought all those women making loud, screeching noises were enjoying the "ride"? LMAO Now I know the truth.
-
Thanks Renee, I finally got in a short ride (if you want to call it that) to work and back. This morning riding home was a killer because I was on my feet and on the ground most of the night. We only work days and nights on a 12 hour shift. I've been at it for the last 28 years.
-
lo2us, let's talk about bleeding. DW had band surgery and started that day. Well, she WAS close to her due day.... That was 19 months ago and she just got it stopped. Turns out that the "trauma" and some fibrous tumors kept her bleeding this whole time. She had them removed and had an ablation about two weeks ago..... *WHEW*
-
I'm just glad someone is riding, somewhere. The one day around here that was worth the attempt, I was in the coal mine, working. Spent the whole day in the cage, yesterday, and I have to go back to work (on nights), tonight. Sometimes life just ain't fair. Keep you knees in the breeze!
-
HarleyGuy, congrats on the surgery date. It WILL be worth it. Renee, good to have you here. I've been trying to get Joy to "drive", but she says she'll only do it on a three wheeler. Maybe a sidecar is the answer? But first, the Motorcycle Safety Course.

I was just curious as to the where abouts of our resident philosopher. I haven't seen any posts from Jack in a while.
-
Tina, just about everyone feels that way. See, you are NORMAL. And you will get hungry. And your band will see to it that you don't overeat. But first of all, just heal and follow your doctor's orders.

OK, Texas Mom, you've got to be getting nervous, right?
