Krause, a PB is a productive burp. I've heard it described many ways but prefer to think of it as something akin to a baby spitting up....

Well, we've tried the Atkins drinks and the DW almost heaved....LOL She is VERY picky when it comes to "liquid diets". She had a really bad experience with them about 35 years ago and now she has a phobia. We went to the health food store and she came away with Bluebonnet SOY Protein powder. So far, so good. At least she gets it down with a minimum of effort. She throws in some strawberries and some banana and whings it in the Vitamix for a few second.

From what I'm seeing in Joy, yes, this is normal. She was sitting here by the puter a while ago talking about chewing on her toenails....LOL Not really, but was telling me that she is just flat hungry. Her first fill is not until Feb 2nd.

Scooter, welcome to LBT. Let me be the first to wish you many happy loses....

Thanks Karen, and congratulations to you on those 74 lbs......

Oh gawd that was funny....LMAO -
Thank you, ladies. After 30+ years of marriage, there isn't much that we haven't seen or discussed, but this has me concerned. Your advice and experiences are greatly appreciated.

oh, I forgot......WELCOME TO BANDLANDIA !!!!!!!!!!
-
Diane, glad to see that you made it home and that you're recovering ok. Just keep in mind.....right now you are suppose to be healing PERIOD. Don't worry about losing. Joy still hasn't started dieting and she's down about 20 lbs. First fill in one week.
-
Congratulations Emily, I'm glad to hear that you're home and not doing too bad.
-
my genre, we've had our moments....a broken belt, a busted mixing valve. We even had to go to a junk yard to find a knob when ours broke. They don't make one to fit this model any more. But it's been a good one.

DW did the one week low fat liquid pre-op. Thank goodness she's moved on to the mushies. And starting Thursday.....SOLIDS!!! woooohooooo!
-
Smiles, welcome and congratualations!
-
Diane, where are you going for your surgery? Joy had hers done at Pine Creek, in Dallas. Nice place and a great staff. But just think, by this time tomorrow, you'll be on your way to a new life......
-
Kimmy, that's what we used doing Atkins to get in our water requirements. It's just about the only way I could do it. I don't DO water, either.

Congratulations on being banded! I know the liquid diet really sucks but it is important that you stick to it. Your stomach is healing right now and the last thing it needs is to go to work kersmashing up something that you have eaten. MsJoy, my wife, is 4 weeks post-op. She has been handling the mushies pretty good and next week she gets to move on to more solid foods. Her first fill will be Feb 2nd. Just keep something handy and keep it on your tummy to slake (is that a word) your hunger. Don't worry about losing, concentrate on healing. Good luck!
-
Emily, hopefully, when you read this you'll be one of the banded. Congratulations and good luck! Many happy losses!

Debra, I considered your post and decided that I would not be a good person to answer that one. My DW and I made one of our first major purchases right after we got married and that was a Kenmore washer and dryer from the Sears store in Yuma, AZ. We just recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we still have that original washer and dryer. And yes, I just did a load of my work clothes in both.

You ladies have hardly ANY sense of humor....hehehe

OH NO, she's thinking about sales....hehehe

A friend from AU brought a jar of it with her to the States. As she skipped across the country, visiting all of her chat friends, she would introduce them to Vegemite. It is EXTREMELY salty! But I won't say that it was disgusting. Of course, being from Australia, I had to expose her to my DW's Chicken Enchilada casserole.....Plenty of jalapenos in that dish. LMAO

You go, girl! You are going to LOVE the Road Glide. Gotta have that fairing! DH is a good man....and he has good taste. In bikes and women.
-
No, those 22 days will fly by. Just two weeks till the liquid diet starts. Tell your DH to come in and ask questions and get some support. That's what I've been doing. My DW was banded on Dec 28th. Good Luck!
-
Betty, just take a few rides in this cool weather and all that shivering will take those last 10 off....LOL Actually, I know you and DeLarla will both make it! I have faith in you!

Bluebonnet Soy Protein powders, or they make a whey protein also. Just be sure an take a multivitamin/multimineral with it. The Centrum chewable seems to be working well for my DW.
