  1. I'm in the same boat. Sleeved 12/19 and only down 40 lbs. I was at 367 before dieting for almost a year pre-op, surgery at 330 and 290 as of this morning. I guess as long as I'm not gaining, it will all work out in the end if I trust the process.

    6 weeks out/32 pounds down

Just stick to the plan and it will all work out. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to get too discouraged!

I have lost a similar amount since my surgery on 12/19/16. Was stalled for several weeks.

    Not losing any more weight?

Out of curiosity, did your surgeon give you a reason for advising you to go against one of the fundamental rules of WLS? My surgeon is similar; he actually admonished me for using 2 protein shots (about 40g protein for 80 cal each) as it put me over 60 grams of protein and he said that was just a waste of calories. That was during the early weeks when I was struggling to get in fluids, much less protein. I just had my one month follow up and he is bothered that I haven't lost since my 2 week appt. I just lost the 18 lbs quick and then when I went back to work nothing. I haven't been eating off plan, I just haven't exercised after work. My job is rather physical and with grad school, caregiving to mother and 4 kids, I generally don't have anything left at the end of the day. I'm worried too but feel that sticking to plan, it should drop eventually. My period has even failed to appear this month so something is at work. Ladies only ... PMS but no aunt flow!

I'm having this issue now. Had surgery Dec 19 and flow came on schedule on the 22. I have had none since despite only losing about 20 lbs since surgery. I wear/carry protection as I feel like I am about to start for the last week. The unpredictability is harder than just getting it over with. I definitely don't want any surprises! Deep suture pain...

I don't know. I'm 8 days out and wondering the same. I don't feel just soreness that most have talked about. It hurts - a lot! I also feel every sip going through my system - I sure hope that stops! Starting weight 367 CW 329 Sleeve scheduled for Dec. 19, 2016

  15. @militaryma Oh my goodness! I can't imagine how much this must hurt. I was talking to my nutritionist and she said that there have been those that have obviously not followed the diet and still got the surgery and not to worry if the weight doesn't fall off as expected. But, the threats of the surgeon trump that for me and stress me out to no end. I hope and pray for your sake that your surgeon will move forward given that you have put good faith effort toward jumping through all the hoops. Take some Metamucil as it will push whatever u ate through your body and don't lose hope. Sometimes I feel that are different standards for different people even in the same practice and that is unfair. Hopefully, your surgeon won't be too hard on you for this. Obviously, that isn't something you can control. Hugs. Starting weight 367 CW 335 Sleeve scheduled for Dec. 19, 2016
