Hey there everyone. So I feel like I may be alone in the world right now because there are no multivitamins that have all the required levels of vitamins for a gastric sleeve patient who is allergic to Iodine. I really want drink the least amount a pills a day but it seems impossible at this point. Someone with an Iodine allergy please tell me what you drink and how often. The vitamin requirements that my doctor is asking for is the following: Calcium - 1200 mg Vitamin D - 3000 IU Iron - 45-60 mg B-complex (including Thiamine B1 - 100 mg) - 50-100 mg B12 - 350-500 mcg The vitamin is preferred in chewable form so that the body absorbs the vitamins faster and go directly into the blood stream.

Hi, I'm 28 years old. I had my gastric sleeve done September 26th, 2016. My heaviest weight has been 228lbs, on the day of my surgery I was 216lbs, and I'm currently at 194lbs according to the scale at Winn Dixie. As of right now my goal weight is 135lbs. I don't know if that's being realistic or not but that's what I have in mind for now. I wanted to see if I could find a buddy that has more less the same stats as me. I sometimes feel a little alone, although I have the support of my family and husband. I look forward to hearing back. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Multivitamins with no Iodine
Melinda Ann M replied to Melinda Ann M's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since no one replied to me I just wanted to give a quick update: I am finally drinking all of the Vitamins I need to be drinking daily. I know I can't possibly be the only human being with a gastric sleeve that's allergic to iodine, so for those who are below is a picture of the vitamins that a sleeve patients needs to drink for life: If anyone has questions please feel free to contact me. Iodine allergy, I need help finding a Protein Shake or Powder
Melinda Ann M posted a topic in Food and Nutrition
Hey there! So I had my surgery September 26th since then I've been having trouble finding a good protein shake or powder. I first I tried the protein drink ISO PURE and in different flavors but I really didn't like them at all and found it to be a complete struggle to finish it. Then I tried Premier Protein which had very little iodine in it and I was doing good till the iodine started to build up in my system and I had an allergic reaction to it. Since then I've been drinking Pure Protein Natural Whey Protein the rich chocolate flavor but it taste horrible and I absolutely dread drinking it everyday. I really need help finding something that has no iodine and that taste decent. HELP! Thanks in advice for your help. -
I had my surgery September 26th and on the 4th week post surgery I started going to the gym and would walk fast on the treadmill for 45 minutes. I wouldn't feel exhausted or overworked so I just kept doing that being that my doctor didn't want me doing anything else other than walking. Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post surgery and I really want a five day workout routine that involves the perfect amount of cardio and weightlifting, but I don't know what to do. Someone please help me. Thanks in advance.

Hey has anyone tasted the Protein pudding MHP Power Pak Pudding that has 30g of protein? Is it good? If so please tell me does it have any iodine in it because I'm really allergic to the iodine. Let me know I'm highly interested in this instead of having to drink protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
