A poor stat starts with "men only" is apt to peek the interest of sassy women. Just saying. I can't speak to the rumor as I have been married since dinosaurs ruled the earth so lack data.

Day 6 Post Op: Having Difficulty
Aggiemae replied to carterbeauty83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sit up straight when you drink and take tiny sips. Water was the hardest so I diluted my Protein shakes to get the water in. I only managed 35-40 oz till day 7 but that was enough to keep me from being dehydrated. That said, you should probably call your doctor to discuss this. You might need medication. -
I couldn't see what I saw typing into a "new post" but it did show up when I posted it. Weird. Anyway... I am going to make dinner for my husband and son. It's my first visit into the kitchen since my surgery. I'm still on full liquids. I'll come back later an let everyone know how it turned out.

Not despicable, desolvable! Desolvable vitamins.

I am using despicable vitamins. I like them. They seem to help when I am feeling hungry. Probably because I can suck on one for 5-10 minutes!

Congratulations!

It wasn't ice cream that concerned me it was that you're 3days from survey and bored with your options. In addition to the required 6month pre bariatric surgery classes required by my insurance I also took a 6 month weekly class called "live it". I learned so much about portion control, planning and most importantly, my (dysfunctional) relationship with food. I am great loosing weight. I'll loose the weight (again) this time. For me the real work will come when I get to maintenance. I hope that the sleeve and the things I have learned and already put into practice will make the difference.

I add the unflavored protein powder to 1% milk. It has no flavor and doesn't thicken the milat all. 28 gr8 of protein in 8oz. I used unjury but there are probably other brands.

You will still be able to eat! And at some point in the future eat most everything you eat now. The surgery isn't magic If you want to loose weight you will have to work at it. If you want to keep the weight off you will have to work even harder.

Hiatal hernia a cause for weight gain

We all are, yet we continue to over eat and rationalize and make excuses. I do it all the time. -
Mourning while Changing
Aggiemae replied to H.150ToGo's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Though weight loss isn't magic it will improve PCOS and reduce pain. Sending good wishes and thoughts. -
It's a drastic change. Loose stools mean your plenty of liquids. It's good to go into surgery well hydrated with and empty digestive tract.
-
You're on soft mashable food on day 11? I has surgery 10/25 and can't manage cottage cheese... can't imagine eating bean and bacon soup.
-
Missing coffee but not as much as I thought I would. Just 12 and I am on the lowest does of narcotic pain meds that I have used for years. I think the all protein diet has reduce my chronic inflation.
-
Is it a reaction to moving to thicker textures before you are ready. I cottage cheese (4oz. pureed) for the first time yesterday and the same thing happened to me. I salivate like crazy and felt awful and and eventually coughed up a ball of slime. I'm going back to liquids for a few more days.

Hiatal hernia a cause for weight gain
Aggiemae replied to gomezk2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
A hernia doesn't cause weight gain. Calories do. -
I was starving the 3 day. It got better but I am still hungry. Fat people don't like to hungry. That's why we are fat. You're going to be hungry for a while. The liquids go right through the sleeve. That's a GOOD thing, and very important because you just had major abdominal surgery and you have a long unhealed suture line and your already much smaller stomach is very swollen. The gastric sleeve is a tool it's not magic. You signed on for life don't start off by sabotaging your self on the third day. Start thinking of food as a fuel. Find something else to think about. Take a short walk. Visit with a friend. Meanwhile get in your Protein and water!

Lost, Feeling Lower Than Snake Wizz, Huge Fail On My Part
Aggiemae replied to ChunkyChicTrying's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have quickly lost and slowly regained the same weight MANY times for many reasons. I think that you know what you need to do (Protein first, so you get your daily requirement, then veggies and OCCASIONAL high calorie carbs) Divide your pre planed daily food into 3-6 portions no surgery drinks, candy or desert till you lose however much weight you need for optimalhealth. Drink Water or low cal fluids. Find some support. Check in often. Yes I know that it's easier said than done. I suspect we all know. -
A fad right out of the 18th century...It only works while you wear a corset and a short while after. The intent is to alter your muscle bone structure it won't do anythin with loose skin or abdominal fat. A good compression garment will shape you so you look better in cloths and not restrict your abdominal organs.

Wondering about wls youtubers channels
Aggiemae replied to Icantbelieveit's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I watched many of these pre open and concluded that they tend to offer their own opinion as advice and it's usually BAD advice. Lots of surgeries in Mexico. The surgeon might be competent but not much pre open teaching. Psychological evals? Who needs them! My favorite was one where the woman says she's been eating solids since day three because she was hungry and listening to her body. She ate 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich on DAY THREE! Most of weight losses in these tubes are IMO on the low side. And why would anyone take advice from an attention seeking narcissistic? -
Gallbladder removed at time a WLS?
Aggiemae replied to mbuczkowski's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The practice I use recommendations it. I had mine it a few years ago but if I hadn't I would have let them remove it. They did do a hernia repair. If you watch bariatric surgery on line you would see why it makes sense. -
How does everyone deal with the social pressure to eat while eating out?
Aggiemae replied to Travelher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have years of practice moving food around the plate because we keep Kosher but don't want to offend people who want o feed me. Take small amounts of what you can eat, chew slowly and practice your conversation skills. My friends especially my fat friends, always seem to want to feed me when they notice I am losing weight. Has anyone had the experience? -

I've beet trying to order for two days but the screen keeps freezing on my pad and phone. Any thoughts? -
I lose my hair in cycle, no one can figure out why but fortunately it grows back. I usually take Vitamins for hair but with the bariatric multi vits I would get to much of some fat soluble vitamins. I added a lipasomal vit C instead of traditional Vit C, vit B12 and Biotin. Hopefully with plenty of Protein and Rogaine I'll be ok.
