Mine is December 16th and don't be scared! everything will be okay if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here, i just started a group for December sleevers i sent you an invite if you would like to join hopefully we can find others in December and get a big support group

At first for me it was also hard but it became easier in the house when I go grocery shopping I get healthy stuff I stay clear of "the candy, chip and soda isle" whats not in the house you can't see and won't eat and i'll go reward myself with a decaf coffee from starbucks or something that I do like and am able to have i replaced my soda with crystal light lemonade and pink lemonade and all the other flavors which taste amazing! I get high Protein foods, low carbs, sugar free pudding and Jello and popsicles, things that still taste great! It makes you not miss the other stuff as much and if you are a drive thru fast food eater like me, every time I would wanna go I would stand my ground and whatever money I knew id be spending there I put to the side and set a goal of a none food related item I wanna buy and when I save enough I reward myself with my goal, it stops me from going thru the lines but also shows me how much I actually use to go thru them/want to go thru them! The amount of money I use to spend at these places is crazy to just be putting that junk in your body! you have to find something that will work for you just give it time you will figure it out and change, your body will start to not crave things just do it at your own pace, reward yourself for it with things you like and know even if you mess up here and there your still doing a great job! Most of it is head hunger and craving it goes away! The sooner you learn this before surgery the better you will be for you pre op diet and of course after surgery

Oh wow! So I literally just met someone on this site thats in the same city as me, which i'm sure there must be a lot but she has the same surgery date as me, cool right?! But hold on it gets even better, with the same doctor as me!!! How crazy is that! we will literally be at the exact same place at the exact same time getting the same procedure done and got to meet each other on here with millions of people on this site, what luck! This is so exciting to me! haha had to share!

@@cindym44 Oh okay gotcha my blood work is scheduled day before my pre op diet starts and i would like for it not to show a fatty liver so i better start watching now!

@@Malin I'm self pay also so I know this is definitely what I want or I wouldn't be spending all this money on it but before hand I'm like give me all the food! haha but I've been trying my hardest taken all my will power not to go through those drive thrus! But I know this is whats best and eventually the food hunger will go away and I won't crave the way I do now!

haha yea after surgery I know I'm gonna want to change and take full advantage of this, especially since I'm self pay I don't wanna pay $25,000 for nothing! I wanna make the most and best out of this but beforehand I'm like ugh I love food! lol

Yea thats what I'm worried about also but isn't that also what the 2 week pre op liquid diet is for?

Thank you all so much. I work for my parents who own restaurants and bars so I am constantly on my feet definitely not a desk job haha so I know they will give me all the time off I need, but my surgery is December 16th so my recovery will run into Christmas Eve and New Years which are holidays we are opened for and are extremely busy so maybe I should wait till after those holidays to go back to were I'm not running around like an animal and can take it easy Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Yay congrats! My surgery is December 16th! But unfortunately I'm selfpay because I had just switched insurances before I started this journey and guess what my old insurance would of covered it but of course my new one doesn't! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
