@shelterdawg.. I'm sorry, I thought you heard the mic drop.. let me drop it again for you - a lil louder this time. I posted to the original poster and I think she can read. I do me, you do you. Worry about you and yours. -

@@atzvsg - Newbie and all, I did it. And I am not afraid to get "bashed" with you. I don't care what people think and I hope you don't either. Everyone's control levels are different. Not everyone here was a food addict before surgery. There are other causes for obesity. Once the weight is on however, it is very difficult even with the healthiest of choices to get the weight off. Everyone here however has struggled with something they have done that was not ideal, and was unhealthy for many years most likely. No one changed overnight, no one has even 100% changed. All of us will make mistakes even at 1 year post. People assume you can't just do it once or a few times carefully, just because "ooo it's forbidden" it's not good. You know that, and have already overcome it- you are awesome. I couldnt, but didn't make it a habit. The extra cheese-its, cheetos, cupcakes some people had last night that no one saw and they didn't post about was part of their own eating disorder as well. The need to chew is a human instinct. If people actually looked into bulimia or anerexia and what they really are like, I don't think they would seriously place the it in the same bucket. You will get through it. It is sooo ooo hard to not chew!! Gum helps me too. I hate Jello, pudding and yogurt or really anything sweet - never ate Soups or any time of smoothie until considering surgery. I just can't wait to eat fish Beans, spinach, lettuce broccoli, watermelon and avacados!! This time without chewing has made me appreciate that anything chewable is delicious! So super healthy food are all super duper appealing now. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -

Having issues taking vitamins

I was wondering about the patches! Has your Nut or Doc said they were ok or anything about them on approval any cautions? Thank you for sharing. -

Hi! Felt like physically I could have gone back in a week or less, but would have probably been much more tired and miserable on a all liquid diet ding so. 2 weeks is a good amount in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Oh! Forgot to mention, I did my sleep study at home - with a take home machine ( ins paid) from my primary care doctor, so check there as well Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

I agree with akaleela. Call your ins. Co. (or go online to their website and search) & have them recommend a sleep study. Funny, I felt the same way, but once approved -, I wasn't really as in a hurry as before. It a tough road ahead, and although you are ready to start, take this extra time as a blessing in disguise. You need the sleep study, it is important. If you feel you dont and your surgery center for whatever reason being unreasonable, you can also change the surgery center usually w/o insurance problems (I did). i recommend embracing this time by practicing some of the things you will be doing post-op and even perhaps practicing the pre-op diet. For example, Many have failed or cheated on just the pre-op alone. The first time I tried, I was miserable. The second time, It was much much easier as I saw how it felt and had a better understanding by getting tips appropriately taylored to my body's needs and quirks via research. Trying to prepare what you will REALLY drink the two weeks after surgery (testing all those Soups, shakes etc..) We are all different, but that's just of course my personal perspective and experience. Either way- I wish you the best and know that you will be starting your new life of health soon enough! Hello!! Sleeved - Oct 27th @ 12pm. Surgery day was really hard and painful - but forced myself to get up and walk around the room even in the middle of the night. Next day in the hospital i was up and walking laps around the entire floor. By the third day all of the CO2 had been released, and I haven't had any pain except for at the largest incision port (not even enough for me to take the pain meds). I am so grateful physically. Mentally- ; ( I hate Protein shakes!!! I hate liquids period at this point! With 14 days of only liquids, I just want to chew. I must admit, yesterday I did do the chew and spit out. That wuth reading alot of boards and people saying they went through the same and are feeling much better now helped relieve the insanity and depression I was starting to feel. Having such a harder time than I ever thought possible for me with getting Water in. I love water, but like another poster, just want to gulp it down- but have already experienced the discomfort that that causes. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
