just started on regular food and found out the hard way that I have to chew until it is mush and eat slow. But I am still feeling hungry after a couple of hours. -
Bratz don't get discouraged it is still early yet. But I do understand how you feel I was banded on the 19th and I have only lost 10lbs total but I still feel I did the right thing cuz I was only getting fatter tring to do it on my own. My self-esteem is in the toilet. So we are kinda feeling about the same today. But it is nice to have this link to others in the same boat. Good luck

thx for the support I am just doing the eliptical and the bike at the gym but for an hour 30 & 30. Do you think it is too much to soon. It just seems that everyone else that I read has lost substantial amount of weight by the time they are going into their third week. I am just frustrated and impatient. Sitting on the ball is a good idea thx
-
E glad they were able to fix the problem and you can get on with your recovery. I need help I am two weeks out of surgery and busting my butt at the gym and my weight has not moved in a week. What gives. need advice and support
-
I was banded march 19th and I'm like you I have only lost 10lbs and I am hitting the gym everyday for 30min to and hour and nothing is going on. I am only eating around 700-800 calories a day. I think it may just be a way for our bodies to heal from the surgery to hang on to the fat. I don't know. Very frustrating especially when you read how much everybody else has lost in such a short time. Don't give up it will happen. good luck

love777pink a little harsh don't you think and who are you talking to -
Hello fellow March bandsters. I was banded on the 19th and I am so frustrated with my rate of weight loss. I have been hitting the gym 5 times a week doing an hour of cardio and my weight loss is minimal. Of course I am weighing myself everyday which probably isn't a good idea. Need support thanx

I too had a hernis didn't know it and was discovered during my procedure and the Dr. fixed it with no complictions and I would not have known any different with my recovery. My reflux has gone away thank goodness and that horrible pain I would get in my breat bone area is gone. It has been all good. Be happy they can repair it all at once and you will feel a lot better. Best of lluck

I went to True Results and used Dr. Hollis I was very satissfied with the service. I was just banded on 3/19 and have not had a follow up visit. My cost for self pay was 12,300 and that includes up to 21 fills. I have seen a lot on Dr. Spivak and he sounds wonderful. I think It is just a personal choice. I researched Dr. Hollis and he has been doing this for many years. Also during my procedure they found a hiatal hernia and reparired that for me. I feel so much better didn't even know that was a problem. Best of luck and keep us updated.

I just had my surgery on 3/19/08 and I did pretty well on pre-op diet drank lots of slim fast low carb and ate a lot of protien. I am in houston too I went to True Results Dr. Hollis. Have you joined the houston bandsters? If not it is www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/houstonareabandsters. It is a great site and they have groups all over Houston that meet regularly.
