Hello I was reading this site because my spouse a (female) is in the process of being band om March 10, 2008. I support her decesion to have this procedure 100% and it was Her decesion, I love her the way she is now, 212 Ibs. When I met her she was 130 and that was not what I feel in love with and still isn't to this day. I feel and and am in love with who she is , her caring touch, her loving abilty to put others first. Her nourshing personailty. and like other men I suppose being European( German ) , not American. I love it when other men look and find my wife attractive, Tell who would want a person No one looked or desired? True love and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Unlike most, my wife and I met online and never had a chance to truly see one another other than Pictures and online photos we sent to one another ( trusting that was who she was) but when I spoke to her daily and sent her flowers for no reason, still do to this day, cards just because, Jewerly to show I love her .I knew she would be the mother of my only child ( and is) and I knew that she was my sole mate. No room for Divorce we both say, there is nt nothing we cannot handle and get through with God's help and support. When she hurts , I feel it. When she is depressed I share that. So since she is mentally and physically ready for the Lap band I welcome it and will and / do support her and cannot wait till she reaches her desire weight, to see the look on other mea's face and know she is with me, and comes home to me, lol it is all good. We are a bi-racial family and it is always spicy and fun and creative as well. We have been married 7 years NEVER argued, fussed or fought No need. We both communicate very well, when I talked her into havng a baby at 47 she thought I was nuts, I am 42. I couldnt have asked for a more beautiful Gift than a child, she is as sexy today than she was 85 pounds ago. Even tho she is 85 Ibs it is very important to her to remain sexy, desirable, and loving and caring, and supportive. Family is important to us both and we both are important to each other. I still share the house work, laundry and cooking and I enjoy being a father and spouse, Most American men would say I am in touch with my female side maybe it was how I was raised. My parents never argued and I enjoyed having a father and mother that I never saw fussed , fight and Dad did everything Mom did so why cant I. My darling wife , Kourtney always siad" she could tell alot about me in how I treat my mother" she said she knew I was going to treat her well too. So all men are not alike. I dont fear my wife having attention from other Men or women. We are secure with one another and our self. Suppose we are Lucky some would say, I say Blessed. I cannot wait till she has had the surgery if it is spicy now, OMG what so I have to look forward too. (smile). She is like Hot Chocolate on a stick, mmm mmmmmmm good. Atkins Medria Weight Watchers Calorie and carb counting Grapefruit diet " The it was like Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall had a great fall and found out she was 212 Then researched the Lapband after a recommendation form my primary physican and it was the best advise he ever gave me. I was then obessed with the proceedure being done then came Hurricane Katrina..... and I had to wait and was delayed then one day I was called to attend a seminar and the rest is history and On March the 10th, 2008 I will start my new Beginning as a person, mom and wife. I am so excited I cannot hide it. I told my spouse he will have a new wife ,my friends here in La .have never seen me small at my desired weight which is 125 Lbs. I can do this and with Gods help all things are possible, Yahoo!!!!:biggrin: I am so ready I will not miss that extra person I am carrying around and will treat myself to Placstic Surgery with Dr. Ray on 90210, I have had a consulation with him, who also recommended the lapBand first then in 1 year I will return to his office in HollyWood and will be ready to get the unwanted skin off and have a "Tummy Tuck and Lipo and It will be cool and ready to start my life as a new person. I had a breast reduction in 2000 and a vaginal rejuvanation procudure in 2007 and had an area tightend My spouse says "damn I did not know that was possible to have it feel like a teenager again.:frown: So I am on my way ladies if you ever have the opportunity to have this procedure done , OMG it is worth is and will increase your love life by 100%. :thumbup: When I was deciding what I was going to do to get ride is 85 pounds, (an entire person) I was carrying around never left my side. I was first saying okay I can have plastic surgery, But then that wouldnt correct the entire weight gain issue, so then I decided to do the Lap Band. My issue is that I dont look like I need to lose 85 pounds (to most people) just like I dont look disabled ( to people) so I had it hard to get approved. My spouse constanly reminds me he loves me Jst like I am (Thank God) but I have to remind him and others it is NOT about him , this is for me. I said that 2008 was going to be My year. I was going to lose the unwanted weight, grow hair ( that is normally shaved) due to the heat in La. and start back focusing on me, I love me so why not? I use to take for granted that I COULD LOSE WEIGHT just like that, I was a runner, 6 miles daily, attend a workout class three times a week, now since I was injured and cannot now, I can relate to those who cannot workout physically ( not being lazy) but they cannot if they wanted to ( oh and we do) belieive me we do. I use to see over weight people and say" why dont they just put the fork down, or jst say No more, or workout or thought they were lazy. I am sorry now I thought like that. My breaking point was weighing 200 pounds.I had to end my addiction and relationship with food, and to see it in another form What was your breaking point? Hello and Good luck to you with the band. I reside in Slidell and I am having the band on March 10th , 2008 I am so excited but scared at the same time. I have been trying to get approved prior Katrina and finally the day as come. When time permits I would like to chat with you to see what you thought and what is any problems or concerns you have experinced for far. I am 212 and want to lose 100 pounds I weighed that prior to moving here in La where food is the main thing for everything and it is so good :0 now I see food different after classes and therpy. But I want to cgat with others that have same or somewhat the same issues. I was a surgerical Nurse in OR and injuried my back and now aI suffer from 6 failed surgeries and sciatic nerve damage 60% of my body but I am determined to lose the weight and go one with my life, I have a three yera old soon to be 4, and a 33 yera old so I have alot of living to do.
