Trell, i feel the very same! i was banded the same day and although i no longer have much pain, i am starving! I don't really think it's "head hunger" because all my stomach does is growl. I hope for the both of us it gets better soon, but its nice to know that we are not alone! -
Hi, i was banded on April 14th. I have also had mashed potato's twice but they were so runny i could almost drink them from a straw. i went right back to liquids after that. I hope i have not done any harm to my band. I don't have a follow up appt. till the 28th. However, on the up side, i have lost 20 pounds so far! Good luck to us all!

Hi, i was also banded on 4/14, i also have the gas pain but my doctor said the more i move around the better it will get. My port site is also very sore but managed with my pain meds. Good luck to us all! -
Here it is, day one of the liquid diet and i already have that evil twin in my head saying its ok to cheat just once! I had asked for diet pills to help with the hunger while i am on liquids only but my Dr. does not give them. Anyone have advice on how to keep the hunger from driving us crazy?:smile: My surgery is april 14 and i must drop some weight and change the way i feel about food.

My band date is April 14,I have been on my liquid diet for 5 days and lost 5 lbs. I hope by the 14th that i will drop 5 more! hope you all are doing well! -

April 14th here, and i cant wait. Being banded by Dr. Roye in Waxahatchie Texas. My liquid diet starts April 4th. I am a little worried about the liquid part but am going to give it my best. -

My road has been long also and i finally have a date of 4/14/08. i am 5'4 and 242lbs. I have told anyone who would listen about that i am getting the band but that does not mean i am not very worried that this will just fail also. Our banding dates are very close so maybe we can just support each other! Good luck and keep in touch Kelli -

I have bc of Texas, and yes it took 3 years. First they said i was not fat enough, my bmi was only 38. Then they said i had not been fat enough long enough. Its been a long road and i even have 3 comorbid factors. however, i finally have my approval :biggrin: and april 14 cannot come soon enough. hopefully no one will have the same problems with insurance i had.
