DaleCruse got a reaction from njgal in How do you celebrate without food?
You could do literally any other thing than eat.
You can also eat, just a smaller amount. If anyone gives you grief about it, tell them this is how you Celebrate now.

Tapas place might work as well, easier to blend in... but definitely all of the above. It is for you to make the suggestion and find out what works [emoji4] and congratulations [emoji324][emoji322][emoji898]

I hear you. You *might* have vagus nerve problems, but you might not. Does that mean you shouldn't have the surgery? Let me ask another question: You *might* get hit by a car crossing the street. Does that mean you shouldn't leave the house? No matter what we do, there are risks. Even doing nothing has risks, especially when it comes to our bodies.
In your plea, I hear fear talking. It's time to tell fear to STFU. Good luck!

DaleCruse got a reaction from angelgloria in Mariah Carey was reportedly sleeved
Body shamers are horrible. But if Mariah feels better & is healthier, I say good for her. https://pagesix.com/2017/11/06/body-shamers-spur-mariah-carey-to-have-weight-loss-surgery/

DaleCruse reacted to gjb2017 in Baby steps.
Remember the movie "What about Bob?", starring Bill Murray?
He was taught that everything could be handled if he took baby steps.
I've learned that I, as a VSGer, can handle anything so long as I approach everything with baby steps.
food? Slow and low. Excercise? Same thing. Cooking? Yup.
But planning? Intense...

Good girl. What I don't like is that many of those superstars actually never tell the truth about the surgery and mainly insisting that they reshaped their bodies through gym and self-control. I really hope people would understand one day, that the surgery is not a "cheating" or the lack of willpower, but the most radical and ultimate measure. We actually gave up what others won't ever be able to - food! ))

@DaleCruse When celebrities have WLS it raises awareness to the procedures. I love their before and after photos.
@Sosewsue61 Holy hell judgmental.

DaleCruse got a reaction from MarinaGirl in Pre-Op Diet Starts Tomorrow. SO confused and overwhelmed.
It sounds like you've created a story about why you can't lose weight: "It's SO confusing! Might as well not even try! I'll end up a failure anyway!" Doctor's orders - like so much in life - is open to interpretation. Should you get 60, 80, or 100 grams of Protein daily? The exact number doesn't matter. Get between 60-100 grams & you'll be good. Consider how else this story is impacting your life & really learn to flip the script to achieve a different outcome. You are not alone. Good luck!

DaleCruse got a reaction from temkins in I was sleeved 3 years ago today. Ask me anything.
It's possible, but it hurts. You'd have to really work to keep shoving food in past the point of fullness. It's not something I do.

DaleCruse got a reaction from jcb123 in I was sleeved 3 years ago today. Ask me anything.
My biggest challenge was alcohol. Once I started, I went too far. I recently quit & don't miss it.
As time has gone on, my weight loss slowed, stopped, & I gained some back. I'm actively working to change that.

DaleCruse got a reaction from jcb123 in I was sleeved 3 years ago today. Ask me anything.
Not really. I'd have to start really overeating to pack on much more. My weight has been steady for months.
Instead of spending brainpower worry about regaining, I'll spend brainpower working on how to lose more.
