    Cravings

With all due respect, you're trying to solve a problem you don't yet have. I had cravings shortly after surgery but about two or three weeks later they went away. I bet yours will too. Good luck!
  2. Congratulations! I don't think we post enough photos here so good for you!
  3. I only spent one overnight in the hospital for observation. Next morning the surgeon came to visit, took one look at me, & said, "You look like you haven't even had surgery!" I said, "Great! Send me home!"
  4. I had to do six months also. Congratulations & good luck!

    Apprehensive

Totally normal. I was scared as hell. I'd be more worried if you weren't concerned at all!

    Weight loss so far

I would try. Consult your nutritionist if you're unsure how much protein you should be getting. Good luck!
  7. You won't feel nauseous forever. There's nothing you'll feel forever. Good luck!

    Gagging and throwing up

No need to apologize for posting often! Support is why we're here! That said, have you talked with your surgical team about this? I can't imagine they'd want you throwing up all the time. Good luck!

    Doubters

I work for a major company & that behavior wouldn't be tolerated. If someone said that to me, I'd go straight to human resources.
  10. It was days after surgery before I had my first sip. Start with a sip. See how you tolerate it. If you tolerate it well, have a little more. If you don't tolerate it well, you're not ready. Try again a week or so later. Good luck!

    Low acid coffee

I too started drinking coffee again just days after surgery. The only way to know for sure how you'll tolerate it is to try some and see how you do. Be careful and good luck!
  12. I've never even heard of this. Good luck!
  13. My surgery was more than two years ago but I remember freaking out too. I was convinced I was going to die on the operating table. But I decided that not having surgery was worse for my health than the risks of having it. Now I realize this was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.
  14. Past does not have to equal prologue. Good luck to you!
  15. It's more than 24 hours later. Do you still want that bagel?

    Coffee

I was also allowed coffee as soon as I was ready to tolerate it. That was true of almost everything I eat and drink. When I was ready, I was ready. When I read others who say their surgical team says no caffeine for six months or no alcohol ever or something, I always want to ask their surgical team to justify why. If they can't, then I wouldn't put much faith in it. Good luck.

4 days post op and very thirsty +

I wouldn't drink skin milk but I can't imagine that one glass of skim milk or ice water is going to hurt you. Start with small sips. If you tolerate it well, have more. If you don't, don't. Good luck!
  18. Do you want us to tell you to eat a bagel or not eat a bagel?

    Water every 15 minutes???

lol, well, guess what? I'm 2.5 years post surgery and I still struggle to stay hydrated. The real point isn't that you have to drink every 15 minutes. The real point is that you need to stay hydrated. You're only screwed if you think you are. Good luck!
  20. Don't freak out. Take some, but don't beat yourself up about it. Be kind to yourself. Good luck!
  21. Who are you - or me - to decide who is doing weight loss "right"? How is this Mama June any more the "face of WLS" than, let's say Graham Elliott? Mama June's journey doesn't negatively impact my journey and I hope it doesn't negatively impact yours either.
