I have lost all the weight I set out to lose. I am however asking, has any long time sleeves had any behavior issues. It's a hard topic to discuss but I'm also a nurse and I'm putting myself out there. We are made of chemical reactions and we had a place where chemicals are produced, removed. I have severe problems with meds in general now that I'm prescribed. My clinic says this is normal but I have to see doctors out of the clinic and they don't want to play by the clinics rules! Especially now that I have a nerve condition. It would be nice to have another human to say, yes, I have had a similar problem! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

I don't want to offend but I have lost half of my weight but I have constant sulfer gas. I don't know what to do to stop this. I don't think I have cdif because I'm a nurse and I know that smell. Any suggestions because I am driving myself and my family nuts. Sent from bariatric pal app

Any dinning advice for Disneyland in California?
Miss Rachel posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm going to be 6 weeks out and already tolerate regular food. I know my limits and listen to my body. We are going to Disneyland for Christmas. It's a family tradition. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can eat in the park?I have read a lot about Disney world and its completely different from southern California. We practically live in this park but I have never looked at it through bariatric eyes... Sent from bariatric pal app -
Any dinning advice for Disneyland in California?
Miss Rachel replied to Miss Rachel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was preparing for the surgery I bought a bariatric food case because we travel a lot! I could use it for the car. I was looking at the menus for Disneyland restaurants and I see where I can manage meals. I totally can eat salmon and lamb and we will get a late reservation for the carthay circle world of color dinning tickets. Then I can get a doggie bag... Sent from bariatric pal app -
Getting crushed meds down
Miss Rachel replied to LaLa Weez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sugar free chocolate pudding. I'm a nurse and crush meds for my patients and it's worth a try. Spreading out the meds could effect the strength of the med. Sent from bariatric pal app -
I thought I did this to myself in the hospital when I was pushing a little hard in the bathroom. I noticed it when I grabbed my stomach and freaked out! Does anyone else have a dent and did it go away? Sent from bariatric pal app

If you ever have doubts if you should do the surgery........
Miss Rachel replied to sbg224's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did the surgery because I wasn't able to physically do anything and I have a heart condition. I'm only 42 and have a huge life I want to enjoy. I was terrified of surgery and the unknown of after the surgery, I'm a nurse and know what I'm supposed to tell patients, not anything I can actually speak of. I haven't lost a ton of weight yet but I feel like I'm starting to live... Sent from bariatric pal app I'm scared of being put to sleep I've never Been under, its the only thing that's giving me second thoughts. Any advice? Sent from my LGLS675 using the BariatricPal App I was terrified of that too! I even got on the operating table and told them I needed to pee! They gave me some drugs and I can't remember anything except for post op. I was worried about saying crazy things to everyone and I was so drugged that I didn't know my own name. Vitamin Patches- Do they work?
Miss Rachel replied to BigKnifeLittleFork's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm on the Patches and I don't care what they say. The proof will be in my blood test. I will go to the horrible regime of taking oral Vitamins if it doesn't work. I have always had nausea with vitamins before surgery so I am going to play a guinea pig for a while. Maybe I can help support the data. Just place the patches on thin skin over bony areas. You fat in your butt won't be good for absorption and cleans the site with alcohol and let it dry before you put it on. Sent from bariatric pal app -

2.5 Months Out & FAIL
Miss Rachel replied to Thenewnic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg! I'm so glad to hear that not everyone is post surgical angels that become robots after surgery! I think if we do what is right 99% of the time we can be bad on vacation! How do you not eat in new Orleans?! I will go on vacation and make a mess out of myself and come home, repent and get back on track. You made my day! Sent from bariatric pal app -

Becoming Concerned
Miss Rachel replied to itsallido's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally feel the same way! I also hear this is a common problem. I will try and be patient but I'm not known for that... I'm just doing what I'm told and trying not to get discouraged but I think we all have those down days and not seeing any progress isn't helpful. I really can't wait to get this weight off. Sent from bariatric pal app -
Since the surgery on the 7th I have not been able to control the pain! I'm not sure I can handle this much longer. I take my oxycodone every 4 hours. When I take the meds I can get up and walk around. I can even sit at the table to eat. My pain on a good day is 7/10. I can't stand being over that. The on call tonight told me to take Tylenol. Or go to the er. It's our right as a patient to be made comfortable. Monday they are going to hear it from me. This pair is tearing me down. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
