Miss Rachel started following BAD BAD BAD CHEST PAINS, I had my sleeve done 11/7/16, Extreme gas and and 7 others
-
I have lost all the weight I set out to lose. I am however asking, has any long time sleeves had any behavior issues. It's a hard topic to discuss but I'm also a nurse and I'm putting myself out there. We are made of chemical reactions and we had a place where chemicals are produced, removed. I have severe problems with meds in general now that I'm prescribed. My clinic says this is normal but I have to see doctors out of the clinic and they don't want to play by the clinics rules! Especially now that I have a nerve condition. It would be nice to have another human to say, yes, I have had a similar problem! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

I don't want to offend but I have lost half of my weight but I have constant sulfer gas. I don't know what to do to stop this. I don't think I have cdif because I'm a nurse and I know that smell. Any suggestions because I am driving myself and my family nuts. Sent from bariatric pal app

Any dinning advice for Disneyland in California?
Miss Rachel replied to Miss Rachel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was preparing for the surgery I bought a bariatric food case because we travel a lot! I could use it for the car. I was looking at the menus for Disneyland restaurants and I see where I can manage meals. I totally can eat salmon and lamb and we will get a late reservation for the carthay circle world of color dinning tickets. Then I can get a doggie bag... Sent from bariatric pal app -

Getting crushed meds down
Miss Rachel replied to LaLa Weez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sugar free chocolate pudding. I'm a nurse and crush meds for my patients and it's worth a try. Spreading out the meds could effect the strength of the med. Sent from bariatric pal app -

Any dinning advice for Disneyland in California?
Miss Rachel posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm going to be 6 weeks out and already tolerate regular food. I know my limits and listen to my body. We are going to Disneyland for Christmas. It's a family tradition. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can eat in the park?I have read a lot about Disney world and its completely different from southern California. We practically live in this park but I have never looked at it through bariatric eyes... Sent from bariatric pal app -
BAD BAD BAD CHEST PAINS
Miss Rachel replied to WGH3IWDT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Why are "we" more at risk? Because post surgical patients run the risk of blood clots Sent from bariatric pal app -
If you ever have doubts if you should do the surgery........
Miss Rachel replied to sbg224's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did the surgery because I wasn't able to physically do anything and I have a heart condition. I'm only 42 and have a huge life I want to enjoy. I was terrified of surgery and the unknown of after the surgery, I'm a nurse and know what I'm supposed to tell patients, not anything I can actually speak of. I haven't lost a ton of weight yet but I feel like I'm starting to live... Sent from bariatric pal app I'm scared of being put to sleep I've never Been under, its the only thing that's giving me second thoughts. Any advice? Sent from my LGLS675 using the BariatricPal App I was terrified of that too! I even got on the operating table and told them I needed to pee! They gave me some drugs and I can't remember anything except for post op. I was worried about saying crazy things to everyone and I was so drugged that I didn't know my own name. I thought I did this to myself in the hospital when I was pushing a little hard in the bathroom. I noticed it when I grabbed my stomach and freaked out! Does anyone else have a dent and did it go away? Sent from bariatric pal app

Vitamin Patches- Do they work?
Miss Rachel replied to BigKnifeLittleFork's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm on the Patches and I don't care what they say. The proof will be in my blood test. I will go to the horrible regime of taking oral Vitamins if it doesn't work. I have always had nausea with vitamins before surgery so I am going to play a guinea pig for a while. Maybe I can help support the data. Just place the patches on thin skin over bony areas. You fat in your butt won't be good for absorption and cleans the site with alcohol and let it dry before you put it on. Sent from bariatric pal app -
Stopping Hydroclorothiazide and weight GAIN
Miss Rachel replied to Tracycheyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stopped taking it when I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I have been really slow losing the weight. I'm sure if I took it I would really drop the weight but I'm tired of peeing all the time. Sent from bariatric pal app -
