What do y'all think is wrong?

Hi love, I'm a nurse and getting ready for the sleeve. I think it sounds like gurd... Because that will cause nausea and burping. See what your doctor thinks... I think the first year is the hardest. I'm sure that I will have some crazy problems after because I'm a nurse! We know too much and always end up with crazy complex diseases... Good luck and please keep us posted! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

    Getting second thoughts

I have a lot of people who have their own opinions but opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. I was told the same thing by everyone. I had to say that this is my body and you don't have to live in it so back off. You are doing the right thing. Obviously if you could do it on your own your insurance wouldn't have oked the procedure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  3. Looks like you tried everything but surgery. What have you got to lose? Besides the weight... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

    Curious

It took me 6 months to finish all of my prerequisite appointments. They didn't even try to get the insurance to approve my procedure until I was almost finished. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  5. I have chewable, liquid and the patch. I have no idea what my nausea level will be post surgical. My friend just had the gastric bypass done and she can't keep a thing down. I will start out with the liquid Vitamins but if crazy nausea hits, I'm going to use the patch. I'm sure malnutrition would not be helpful during this recovery process. Does anyone else have or use the patch? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

    Feeling defeated.

I have people who don't think this is a good idea and I could just diet and lose the weight. Here it is, this is your body and I'm going to say something not so nice, tell them to go f**k themselves. Until you can't make a decision on your own and have to have other people wipe your butt, you get to be your own person. You are doing what is best for you and congratulations on being your own advocate and taking a stand. You got this. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  8. My surgery is on the 7th of November and I have been doing the liquid diet for a week now. Last Wednesday my surgeon told me that I could eat vegetables, all I want. I could make them anyway I want except for frying them. I was going insane before he said this. I am mostly making soup and am surviving this way. I was told in my preop nutrition class that I had to only intake liquids. I was in hell and cheating until I saw my surgeon. The point of this exercise is to reduce the size of the liver. If you don't eat fat and carbs, the outcome will be the same. Ask your surgeon if this is OK. Each surgeon has there own opinion. I have already lost 10 lbs but the first 10 lbs of any weight loss program is water anyway. But I feel positive and this is the beginning.
