I was sleeved on 10/26. I was in the hospital for 2 nights, I was not able to pee,so had to have a folly 2 times. Got out and was back in on the 29th because of fever and dehydration. Turned out I had a uti and c-diff. I have no pain or nausea Everyday is a little bit better. Tomorrow I am going back to work part time. Looking forward to it. Today has been an excellent day. Keep moving and you will feel better. Good Luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Watermelon

I would try a sugar free ice pop. Or some Jello that would work too. I am only 9 days out of surgery. GREAT JOB on the weight loss! I hope I get there Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Who knows about your surgery?

I am still recovering now. I had a couple bumps in the road, but I am on the right road now. Today is my 10th day of only liquids and my 6th day post op. I think I am doing well, I think I over did it a bit yesterday, but feeling good after a good nights sleep. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Got sleeved today 10/26

I was also sleeved on the same day as you! I have had almost no pain at all. But I did get to spend 2 nights in the hospital (surgery was not completed till 3:30) that is why I think I won the second day. I started feeling worse when I got home, fever no urge to drink or anything. Was falling asleep all the time. So I called the Dr and they told me to hit the power aid (yuck) but I did it. The next morning my surgeon calls and I tell him everything. Go to the ER NOW! At the ER i found out I had a UTI and some nasty CDIFF. I am on HEAVY antibiotics, but am feeling good today! Rny? Or sleeve?

I had a sleeve last week and I chose this because it made sense to me to throw out that part of the stomach that I was no longer using. Plus I did not like the idea of moving my intestines around. My surgeon told me that they are both equally as good and it was my preference. So after reading a bunch of things and chatting with my hubby, I now have a sleeve Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Who knows about your surgery?

Before the surgery when I had to go through a whole bunch of classes. I talked to my husband about it and that was it. Then after I went to see the surgeon the first time, I told my best friend and her husband. After six months of classes and insurance approval, I told my children. My surgery was October 26 and I have told a few close friends. I did not want to hear any negatives about my decision. It is my body and I can do what I want! People never seem to have anything positive to say if you tell them something like this. I also go to support group meetings and the people that have told their friends only spoke negative feedback.
