Anyone drive themselves home after surgery?
vannababyy22 replied to sunnydeeliteful's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For safety reasons I would not drive yourself home, nor will the hospital allow you to do so... you will have pain medications in you, you'll be nauseous and in pain. Please try and find someone Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Anxiety and depression
vannababyy22 replied to bluenena2016's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I suffered from mental illness my entire life and it seemed those first three weeks after surgery it was awful, depression, anxiety attacks. It's hard when food was always that coping mechanism, for me anyways. Honestly I'm almost done here with week 5 and I seem to be doing much better, I still have panic attacks but they aren't as frequent. Try and remember why you did this in the first place, you did it to be a better version of yourself, to be a healthier you. You got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Hey guys! My name is savanna, I had my surgery on October 10th. Honestly the first week was super rough and I ended up getting c diff (infection in the intestines) which made me super sick. I dealt with quite a bit of nausea until about 3 days ago it seemed to have subsided. I began realizing that hot foods/drinks work better for my sleeve. It seems like every time I drink or eat something cold the nausea comes back. However it's only been 3 weeks for me today and I am down 31 pounds. I am beyond excited to see what the future holds for me and all of you!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Has anyone ever tried the Isopure ready to drink stuff? It has 40g of Protein in it, and I really have a hard time with Protein shakes. It's more like a Water drink, and less like a shake. If you've tried it let me know what you thought before I buy it. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Last night I made garlic Parmesan puree cauliflower (taste like garlic mashed potatoes only way less carbs) and I also made purée chicken green bean and avocado casserole. Super delicious. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
7 weeks post op! Problems eating!
vannababyy22 replied to AMS115's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would definitely call the doctor, it's not really normal to be in more pain now then in the beginning. Maybe just call and get some answers. I hope you feel better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
So I seem to be able to drink like 16 oz of Water or tea within about 45 minutes, is that normal? I know they told me to sip, sip, sip. But I can definitely drink more then 64 oz in a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
