3months out, suddenly zero hunger
Ssze1109 replied to gigiinDC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would count that as a blessing. I am 10 weeks out and still get hungry like you did initially. Can I ask what your typical menu is? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

It will be worth it! You will be able to eat again. It's just a process. Everyone is nervous before surgery. You won't starve because it's totally different than trying to diet with a full big stomach. Good luck tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

3 month exercises
Ssze1109 replied to dominyks_mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try "tone it up" videos on YouTube. They had a tv show before. They have great exercises. Also Dr Mathew Weiner (weight loss/bariatric surgeon) has a good YouTube video on exercise. Can you get some weights and just do strength training at home ? Or squats, lunges, etc.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I wanna know about carbs... Seriously!
Ssze1109 replied to KindaFamiliar's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Maybe look into "carb cycling" where you alternate high and low carb days. You have been very successful so far. What is some of your staple foods you eat? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Crying on the bathroom floor
Ssze1109 replied to White Sale's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there. This too shall pass! Our bodies are all different. Yours just might be working to heal right now. A pound of muscle and a pound of fat still weigh a pound. But muscle is leaner and takes up less space than fat. You are building muscle with is leaner than fat so you are probably losing inches.(fat). My Dr said the reasons we lose the way we do is unknown. We could eat the exact same things week to week and might lose one week but not the other. Try looking for other things to motivate you rather than the scale. I know it's hard because the scale is how everyone measures success Are your clothes looser? Do you have more energy, less aches, moving around better? My Dr said to put away the scale and try a smaller pair of pants on weekly. You will probably see results there. Good luck. Feel better!! Not a fan of the shakes
Ssze1109 replied to Victoria Bontempi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I gave up shakes early on. Surgery was November 9th. I now get all my Protein from food. I couldn't tolerate the shakes anymore. I keep trying but instantly they make me nauseous, I get chills like I'm going to throw up and diarrhea. I can tolerate GENEPRO protein if I add it to something but most days I don't need it. Ssze1109 replied to Coachthex32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Eating more often makes me feel hungrier?
Ssze1109 replied to WitchySar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It probably is your metabolism kicking up. You might lose more weight that way. I notice the days I feel hungrier are the days I lose. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Vacation planning after surgery
Ssze1109 replied to simpsongrad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't gone anywhere yet but I've been reading up for my trip to Punta Cana. Try to eat your Protein first and bring an insulated tumbler to keep your Water cold. Bring some raw almonds, tuna pouches, and protein powders to add to food if needed. Just wanted to also say I am so jealous! I love Kauai!!! My favorite place ever is the Napali coast. Take the Napali coast boat tour. It's gorgeous!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I will eat a few almonds, some cheese, or one of those P3 packs. If I don't then I really get hungry unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
