:huh2:Surgery weight 262, weight 4 weeks later at first fill 245.5, feeling like clothes are baggier and fitting into older "skinny" clothes in the closet. Now I am wanting to do more things for myself, like a new hair style. Trying to motivate myself to stay on diets and make better food choices since I don't feel restriction yet with 2cc only in a 10cc band, so thinking that manicure, pedicures, perms, foils, etc are a good plan. Anyone done something new and drastic and regretted it right after?

I was banded 3/28/08, went 2 weeks later for post op, and was down 12.5lbs, then at my first fill 2 weeks later down another 4lbs. Got 2cc's that day and don't go back till 06/03/08 for another fill, but don't feel any restriction and feel like all the weight loss up to this point is pure "willpower". Getting frustrated also because just like with other diets I feel like I won't be able to keep it up. Really waiting/wanting to feel restriction, but instead "will" myself not to eat any more. Have been making better food choices, but still not sure how long I can keep it up or if I will plateau. When I went in for the first fill I was excited to see how much I had lost, now I am scared I will have put weight on. So far I have gotten rid of 2 HUGE garbage bags of "too big" clothes and things are much looser and baggier, but still scared because I don't feel much restriction. :wink2:

I feel like I can take on the world and am sick of Jello/pudding and chicken Broth-scared to try anything as Jamba juice smoothie made me sick-what am I doing wrong? Confused as to whether or not Jello/Pudding is okay 4 days post op-but it was on the booklet my doc sent home. Also traveling to NY this coming week-will only be 1 week post surgery and not sure what in the world I will be able to eat. Staying with friends so I think that will help-has anyone gone to eggs/mashed potatoes/beans by the end of the first week or am I trying to rush things. Should I stay on Clear liquids longer. Doc can't get me in for follow up until 04/15/08 which is 2+ weeks after surgery date. Any suggestions? -
:w00t:Okay something I didn't plan on, I am a salt person rather than sweet and this liquid diet is really testing my abilities of will power. There really isn't much that is salty in taste that is liquid other than chicken broth that I have found and one can only handle so much of that. I don't want to begin eating things like mashed potatoes too soon since I am only 4 days post op. AHHH~!!

emotional outburst 1 day post op

Don't feel bad, I was banded on Friday and Saturday morning I burst into tears-totally regretting the decision because I was in so much pain. For me the shoulder pain was the worst, my poor husband-what a trooper-he sat and rubbed my shoulders any time I asked-even called the Doctor because the pain was so bad. Now 4 days post surgery and the shoulder pain is gone, when I put on my jeans today and they looked like a big blue sack, I felt like it was a good decision. -
6 days post-op...itchy port...

I was banded on the 28th and by Monday I am itchy too! I go to itch and I am bruised so then it hurts or since the Steri Strips have all come off, I rub a scab and think I am making the scar worse. My main incision is bigger than i thought about 4 inches to the left of my bellybutton, but the other ones are TINY! Who knows maybe there is a bikini in my future! -
:eek:Getting confused because my list from the doc says that Jello/pudding is okay in 1st week after surgery? But looks like others say different. Am I hurting my new stomach by having those?

After a long journey, I have surgery date scheduled. I am looking forward to it, but have started to wonder if it is going to be as "big a deal" as I am hoping. I am 5 10 and weight 270, I have fought for years with weight and finally decided last June that I needed to do this-so now that all the insurance stuff has been met, I am ready to do it. I haven't told anyone except my husband, because he has to drive me to and from the hospital-so hoping for some support here. :rolleyes2:

My surgery is 03/28/2008, I have been working on this since 06/2007 so I am just as excited. Starting weight 267 want to get to 180 as I am 5 10. My brother in law is getting married May 17th 2008 so I told myself I would not buy a dress for the wedding until the first weekend in May because I am sure I will weight less and look better by then.
