  1. So what's the best way to boost the calories. Like I said, if I follow orders and stick to Proteins and eat only 3 meals a day + one Protein shake, there is little chance of breaking 600 calories. Would you add another shake ? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I am right at 9 weeks and I feel great. I was lucky and had no problems with the surgery and have been really strict with myself about following the rules. But I am fully back to normal. Walking 2 miles a day, eating 3 meals of totally Protein and a shake to supplement. Energy level is much better than before surgery. The first few weeks are a challenge, but in my case, it got better every day. My only challenge now is getting the Water in. I think if all goes well with your surgery, the move shouldn't be a problem. Good luck.
  3. You look fabulous and your news is fabulous. I am 6 weeks in and LOVE seeing progress like yours. Congratulations!!!!
  4. Hallelujah......down 2 lbs this morning. First real loss in 3 weeks. I am amazed how deeply this affects my happiness level. :0 I do think I have figured out how to make my Water goal. Four 16 ounce bottles of water. Making myself finish one by 11, next one by 2, next one by 4 and the last one has to be empty by bedtime. Then I refill them for the next day. Yesterday was was the first time since the first month (when I was religiously sipping 2 ounces every 15 min.) that I have made water goal. I am guessing there is a correlation. I really hope this is the end of this stall. Yay!!! In reply to Jellybean12, I too had a hernia repaired. My reflux is 100% gone, too. But I definitely have some weird sensations from my new digestive system. There is loud growling and an empty like sensation at random times. Sometimes food goes down easy and sometimes it sits very heavy. I think it just takes some getting used to. I still haven't felt hungry......and my tastes have changed dramatically. Can't stand coffee anymore and chocolate holds no allure for me like it used to. Very good news. Happy Day to all.
  5. And, Jacket52204, thanks for replying.....misery really does "need" company in this case. It really helps to know that someone else is stalled also. I didn't measure inches right after surgery so am not really able to rely on that as motivation. And like I said, my clothes are showing some looseness, but not as much as I over-optimistically expected. Every day I wake up just sure I will have broken below 180. Didn't do it again today. I guess the good news is I can't quit. There is no going Back. At some point this has to change. The struggle is real
  6. I am usually around 500-600. I am really "by the book" and eating exactly what my handouts tell me. Scrambled egg for Breakfast. A starkist tuna pack for lunch and chicken or salmon for dinner. Maybe some yogurt or a sugar free popsicle thrown in. At 3 oz a meal it just doesn't add up to more. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I am at 8 weeks and have been stalled for the last 2. I am really frustrated. I can't eat any less. Hitting the Protein mark but not the Water. I get to about 45-50 oz and that's it. I am exercising and just trying to wait it out. Good to hear others stories. I am down 32 lbs from Oct. 3 surgery and feel great. Just want to get on with losing. 8. I have worried about this. I am usually under 600. I have been doing fine with my Protein. One shake a day boosts it to over 70 usually. My Doc is super conservative and I was 4 weeks liquid, 4 weeks pureed and just now on regular food. No red meat until the 6 month mark. Mostly eating a lot of Tuna and Salmon and chicken breast. They only want me to eat 3 meals a day and getting more calories in with only 3 oz. of food at a time makes it tough to get any more "good" calories in. I truly shouldn't complain. I feel great....never had any complications, no nausea or sickness. And I know the weight will come off.......the good news is you can't "quit" like I have done on the zillions of diets I have been on. I just want to get on with it.
  9. I was sleeved Oct. 3. Starting weight 214. Lost 32 lbs, but have been stalled for a couple of weeks now. So frustrated. I have hovered around 182-185 for 3 weeks now. I can't eat any less. I am having trouble getting all the Water in. And the "no water 30 min. before and 30 min. after doesn't help. I am really not that hungry so that isn't a problem. I walk 2 miles a day. I do feel great and am moving much better, but I think I must have been at the absolute maximum in my clothes, because I am still wearing the same pants. A little looser, but not enough to fit in to the next size down in my closet. (I have all sizes in my closet as I was the yoyo Queen.) I just want that "new middle number". Sick of being in the 80's and ready for the 70's. Any suggestions on how to get out of the dreaded stall?

    Clumpy protein

I sent an email to the Premier website asking them about the problem. Will let you all know if they reply. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Clumpy protein

This is so funny.....I went on this site to ask this same question. I have had several of the Premier chocolate shakes come out lumpy and with an icky texture. The taste is fine, but the texture is awful. I put them in a glass and whisked and it was better. Then added ice and better still. They were never frozen and were only a few weeks old. Returning is not an option, but I did wonder if anyone else had experienced this problem. Seems to only be the chocolate ones for me. vanilla is fine.
  12. My Dr.s group is very conservative and has us on liquids for the first 4 weeks and pureed foods for another 4 weeks. I was one of the lucky ones who had no nausea, no pain, up and walking and discharged after 1 night. No problems at home at all. Never needed anything more that Tylenol and really didn't need that after a few days. But.........yesterday was my first day for pureed foods......I had 3 TBS of Cottage cheese, then 3 TBS of refried Beans for lunch and a soft scrambled egg for dinner. One Protein shake and 2 TBS of protinex, so got my protein in. Really struggled to get my Water in.........no liquid 30 min before and for 30 min after. And I was really full. Woke up this morning feeling weak and dizzy and that has lasted all day. No energy at all. I have been walking 2 miles a day for the last 3 weeks, so this is really puzzling. Anyone else have a "swoop" in energy at 4 weeks or at the transition from full liquids to pureés? Thanks for any advice.
  13. Based on how much better I am feeling today after being really strict yesterday with my liquids, I think dehydration was the issue. Not in any bp meds so that's ok. Drinking like a fish today. Wish it was a margarita;) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am hoping you are both right. Monday I struggled to get everything in and Tuesday was the worst I have felt since the surgery. Worked really hard to keep things spaced right and get all in and felt better today. Thanks for the advice. I have not told anyone but my husband so really rely on the kindness of strangers. 15. Has anyone traveled on an extended trip overseas after Gastric Sleeve surgery? I am one month post op and will need to go to the UK in April. Wondering about sources of Protein over there. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
