1. The funny thing is I could not really drink before the band it bothered my tummy to much I could feel it burn going down. I think I had my 1st drink around christmas time (banded 11-7) and it did not bother me at all. I have been with my husband for 15 years and he could count on 1 hand how many times he has seen me drunk. But wine is my new posion. This year he has seen me drunk more then 6 times. yes it is a lot of emty calories but you just have to count the calories. Lifes to short..I finally feel good..so I like to go out now..
2. I was banded 11-7 and I moved to mushies on the 15th and by the 19th i was cleared by my dr to start reg. food...he said you know your body the best and if you need more food move on to the next phase..i have not had any problems..i have my 1st fill set for 12-10.
3. I am being banded Friday 11-7 and I plan on going back to work on Wednesday the 12th...I hope all goes as planned..
4. My dr. is out of network for me too but I spoke with him about that and he said that he was willing to take what the insurance company gives him and not want any money from me so ask him it can not hurt..it might just save you a 3 hour drive every 6 weeks.lol
5. I got my call today... :rolleyes2: Insurance approved me within 2 weeks (BCBS). My surgery date is November 7th. I feel the same as everyone else. OMG!! where do I go from here... :scared2: I have 15 days to get my life in order. :blushing:

Telling the family????

Same for me I was very concerned with telling my parents who now live in Florida. I did not want to tell them over the phone so I waited 3 months to tell them. I told them in person and they were ok with it, my mom even said she was thinking about it for herself but did not know much about it. (Maybe she will do it after she sees my success) I am doing this to lose the weight I have struggled with my whole life but also in hopes to finally get pregnant. I have not told my in-laws and don't plan on it. If it comes out in conversation months after, that is how they will find out. Parents are all ways there even when you think they will not be. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I have BCBS of NJ too I called when I started in January and they said I have a gray area in my policy and they could not tell me a yes or no..until every thing has been submitted. I am coming up on my 5th month so 1 more to go and I will see..
8. I have BCBS of NJ a PPO plan. and I have to do all of the same stuff for the next 6 months.

10. brandyII, sorry i was not able to help with the picture. as you can see i do not have one because i can not get it to work. back to the bulldog your picture looks just like mine. be ready to have a lot of money. this is a very high maintenace breed. they are a lot to purchase then they have some health problems common to there breed. at 6 months old he had 4 surgeries he made it through all of them very well. but at 10 months old i have about $10,000.00 into him. they also require alot of time daily. i wish i know all of this before i got him. but i love him and would not give him up for the world.
