Did you have your surgery and did you like Dr Beltre? I am researching placesHi all. Just stumbled upon all of these Orlando/central Florida tips lol. I am currently in my Preop phase and have my psych eval tomorrow and seminar on Saturday. I will be having my surgery in February I hope with Dr.Beltre.

What Dr did you use? I am in Orlando and don't think my insurance will cover the surgeryI am in Orlando and did 14500. I tried to use Shillingford, but his office never returned calls or emails, and I didn't want to make the 3 hour round trip down there just to walk into his office and ask for an appointment

I called my insurance company after chatting with my DR to see about a gastric surgery. I was told it was a specific exclusion in my policy...not even if deemed medically necessary. So, am I out of luck for any coverage?

I am looking at surgical centers around Orlando. However, since I am self pay, I thought about traveling to Boca for about a 5k savings.
IMO...I was thinking about staying in town, near the Dr for the rest of the week.
What are your opinions? How many appts did you have with your surgeon post-op?
