    I was wondering if anyone has any insurance to cover them in case of complications post bariatric surgery? I am self pay, have regular health insurance, but it does not cover WLS.     So, my father's side of the family has a history of polycystic kidneys. This usually appears in the mid 30's. I have been tested and am almost 40, so I don't think it will affect me. However, since Protein consumption is not good for polycystic kidneys, has anyone dealt with this? My fear is that post surgery, I might eventually get this and then I will have issues with protein.     I haven't had my surgery yet, but when I did my shoulder surgery, I wish I was nude. When they were pulling the breathing tube, I started coughing and pee'd myself in my undies, no catheter. My anesthestitist was a friend and filled me in as to why they were off post surgery.
