Don't get discouraged you'll get there. My thing is I'm horrible with needles and surgery and I've had tons of those lol and I told myself I did not go through this surgery and pain not to have the results I want and need. My meal plan never changes much and it's quiet dreadful lol but I stick to it since it seems to work and I walk/run from 5 to 10 miles everyday. I sometimes try to make excuses for not doing the walks and then I'm like nope no matter what I'm getting it done today and I do. For breakfast I have an avocado slightly hollowed out and I bake an egg inside or I have a boiled egg, for lunch I have a protein bar 30mg and dinner is always fish and or pork because for me I find it hard to eat chicken and I'm not a big beef eater. Good luck you are going to get there and remember progress is progress no matter how big or small and we all get off track from time to time we're human it happens so don't beat yourself up about it. Please let us know what the doctor says. I'm about 6 weeks out with getting my band and I also have left side stomach pain that comes and goes.and the pain is not bad most of the time but a few times it has became pretty strong. I am just a few days over 4 weeks post op lapband. My band has been completely empty until yesterday and although it has been empty I still managed to loose 47 pounds all together starting at my pre op diet. My doctor put 2cc in my band and I still can eat the way I did before and I'm hungry every few hours so my question is....is this normal? If you don't mind me asking what kind ofpromblems did you have with your band? I'm a newly banded patient. I find myself scared of every little thing. I have been watching some on youtube of the non successful patients.i find myself wanting to learn more about those patients and less about the successful ones. Thank you! I got a great report I have lost 11.5 pounds since surgery Which was 2 weeks ago. He said he was super proud of me. Since my journey has started I have lost a total of 40 pounds! And I will not get my first fill until December 1st and my band is completely empty he said! He told me I have definitely earned my Thanksgiving dinner lol. But I promised to still stick to it and I will. The first 4 days after surgery I'm not going to lie I thought I would die and I kept saying what have I done to myself I just made a huge mistake but now I could not be any happier that I went through with it and stuck to what they taught me. Thank you sweet Jesus for answered prayers! The first 3 days have been pure hell to be bluntly honest. Spent day after surgery In Er and the next 2 days dry heaving my guts out and fighting a fever but today,today is a good day! I have walked around the block already this morning and took my dogs out twice. I'm getting a lot more liquids down today alot quicker and no nausea what so ever. Thank you so much for all the advice. It does give me some glimmer of hope to know I'm not the only one to go through this and with time it will hopefully get better. I spent the next day after surgery In Er as well I was dry heaving so bad I thought I ripped my guts out that was 2 days ago. Yesterday I fit a low grade fever all day and continued to drink Pedia lite to stay hydrated. Today no fever diluted the Pedia lite with Gatorade and all that seems to be going alot better. Just the nausea is sooooo bad if I could get that under control maybe I would be ok but as of now I'm super miserable and just praying for better days!
