Yes she rude as hell. Yes I'll def give you all the details about the meal plan. I have to lose 16 lbs and I'm down 8 and she was like that's good lets make it another 15 and switched it on my paper work ugh. I mean I was already aiming to lose more but why would she just switch it and not acknowledge how much I've already lost ya know. I'm hoping to get down atleast 40 by March. Another pre op meal plan I found was 8am-protein shake 12 pm- Protein shake 3pm- protein shake 5-6pm- 5 oz protein and veggies 30 minute exercise and no snacking or food after 7. I'm going to start this on Monday. You are welcome to join if you'd like. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App She did the same thing to me, but she said let's make it 25 to 30 pounds before surgery. I am not sure if that's a tactic used by UW or if it's just her playing head games with patients!? I spoke to my nutritionist the next day at my appointment about that and she said the hospital is well aware of a 5% goal and that it is a agreed upon number between the hospital and insurance companies. My nutritionist told me to go with the 5%. Also yesterday while at UW the social worker mentioned my 5% number and nothing beyond that. My goal was to lose more too, I hope I do! That meal plan sounds good to me! I will start it up Monday as well! I just started using almond breeze the vanilla unsweetened flavor in my shakes and wow! So good and only 30 calories, plus it has 50% more calcium than milk! No more milk for me, it's too fatty and probably hurting more than helping me reach my goals! Thanks for the info! Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App Wow that's too funny how's she's trying to switch everything. Was the appointment with their social worker and nutritionist easy? I agree with you on the milk. It is very fatty. I don't drink it plus I'm lactose intolerant. I'm happy you are starting the plan with me Monday. We should text. I wish we lived to closer to each other to workout and stuff. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

That's crazy that we all had the same rude person. I have to do an upper GI test, EGD, physical therapy, labs and meet with the dietitian and social worker. All my appointments are back to back next month. I'm also having a hard time getting my EGD scheduled. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

OMG YES!! That's little ball of fire lol she was horrible today. I could not wait to get the appointment done and over with. I will definitely call in about it. I agree with you about learning. My NUT is amazing I love her lol. My weight is coming off slow as well. I have ten more pounds to lose to meet my 5% but I want to aim for more. I found this pre op meal plan online so I'm going to follow it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Mines was rude too. It was probably the same one. Was she really little? She kept asking me repetitive questions and being judge mental. Yes my insurance requires me to lose 5% as well. Meet with the NUT 2x a month for 6 months and my pcp 1x a month for 6 months. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I live in Everett. So it's about a 45 min drive. I thought I was meeting the surgeon but it was just a physician assistant. I meet with the social worker on the 21st of December. I have to get a ton of test done. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hey love Congrats, I hope it goes by fast for you. I will hopefully be done by feb-March. My PCP is at the UW so I am able to start the UW requirements at the same time I'm doing my insurance requirements so that I can finish them at the same time. I have my appointment with the surgeon today and then hopefully they will schedule me for the rest of the stuff. I'm excited. Getting the RNY as well Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Hey everyone I'm excited to back on this journey again. I had started the process last year in California but ended up moving to Washington state. Now I have a 6 month pre op diet to follow and I'm about half way done. I will be having my surgery at the UW in Seattle and I have UHC. Anyone else in WA having surgery around that time?
