    Mistake??

There will be a few stages of regret or questioning as you progress. New and wierd changes with your body and some hormonal imbalances could make you feel a bit crazy but as each day passes, you get used to it and learn to love yourself and the decision you made! Before you know it, you will be several months out and almost to your goal! Good luck on your journey!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Gagging and throwing up

I had the same issue around the same timeframe. It reminded me of being pregnant with morning sickness! My NUT assured me that i was still healing and that at my 6 month mark, i would be a completely different person and feel a million times better. Hard to hear when you feel so crappy. I had to just take it day by day and tell myself it will end. After about a month and half, it was like a light switch and it was completely done. Havent been nauseous or vomited since. That was 5 months ago! Make sure you rule out any true issues with your doctor first though! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I could look at before and after photos all day! Everyones transformations are amazing. Here is my latest comparison! Sleeved 9-27-16 SW 260 CW 175 Was size 22 (probably should have been a 24 lol) Now size 10! BEST DECISION EVER! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Wow you guys!! Thanks for all of the wonderful messages! Here are my personal rules i live by now... I dont measure and I dont track but I am good at estimating. I try to drink 1 protein shake each day (premier is my fav) and/or eat a protein bar while on the go (I am in love with the "oh yeah- one" bars). I drink a ton of water, sometimes with Crystal-Light. I enjoy a cup of coffee every morning. Any breads, desserts, or sugary drinks are out the door. I make sure I eat my protein first but I eat all day long. I enjoy running now and hiking! I excersize almost everyday. Even though I just gained 3 lbs, I went down another size...must be building muscle. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want to give up

Hi guys... it is absolutely normal to hit a couple of stalls along the way. Your body has been through a lot, is healing and will get to a point where it will catch up and pause. Dont be discouraged...this journey is real, the weight loss is real and you WILL be down 80 lbs before you know it (as long as you keep following your plan). I am just at 6 months and have hit a few stalls where zero weight came off for a few weeks...dont give up, just be patient.
  10. Thanks everyone! For those of you just starting or about to begin your journey, whatever struggles you may have, dont give up or give in...it will get better and you can be very successful if you work the program and just be patient. Not everyone looses at the same rate so dont get discouraged about your success!
  11. Wow...what a journey! I remember the dreaded 6 months pre-op and now I am 6 months post-op! Started at 260 and am now 175. Down 85lbs. About another 30 or so to go! So weird to be only 30lbs away from the end goal. Never in my life....
  12. Reading all of your posts takes me back to my first 2 months post op! It is the craziest thing with the heightened sense of smell and the nausea! Totally felt like a first trimester for sure! My family thought I was nuts! Everything tasted funny and smelled horrible! I would gag just thinking about it. I felt it was never going to end and that the rest of my life would be like that. My NUT insisted I would get through it and that at my 6 month appt with her, I would be a completely different person and feel back to "normal". SO TRUE!!! I am now 6 months out and have felt great and "normal" for the past 4 months. It will pass! The tastes, smells and nausea will change and get better! Hard not to linger on it and not think about it all day long but just go one day at a time and before you know it, it will all be over with.

    Post Sleeve Nausea

Just know it is AWFUL right now but it will go away! Your body is healing and so it can go through some rough patches. The advise I was given was to just eat/drink what I could and take it one day at a time. Zofran helped. I would sip on very cold isopure, to get my protein in...this too shall pass...you can fight through it!!!
  14. Sometimes in the beginning, right after surgery, the thicker protein shakes can be hard to choke down. I had a hard time in the beginning but I can drink them no problem now...it seems our taste buds and tolerance for certain foods change as you heal. I drank the isopure until I could handle the thicker ones.
