Just going through a rough patch and need to hear from other out there going through the same thing. I have a family member that has beed supportive all the way so far but now that I'm getting closer and closer to my goal that support has disappeared. Trying to stay possive but this was the only person that supported me on this journey. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you for sharing your rant because i feel the same way! sleeved on the 12/15/2016 sw 291 cw 224 gw 180. I hit my first big plateau. Like you my hair is falling out and scared as hell to buy new clothes for the same reason as you. My appetite has increased dramatically. I feel like for the first time that this is now when the hard work begins. I am trying to stay positive and believe that if i stay consistent with my new life style of eating and exercise the weight will come off in time. I think we need to take time to enjoy our success. Go out and just buy one peace of clothing. dont look at the size but focus on how good we feel in it. i wish you the best and hang in there. Ok so anytime i give my option[emoji3] i always tell people to check in with their NUT or Dr... so just based off of the one meal plan you've given us, i see some hidden sugar. Your body may be holding on to that extra suger. really read your lables on yogurt, peanut butter and almond milk. Also for me my body has always preferred a good balance of good carbs and protein. We are all different and our bodies like different things, with the help of your NUT try to change your diet up. Add more protein or add more good carbs. Continue to track your meals to see what works and what doesnt. Overall sounds like your doing a great job so dont get discouraged. And one day we may see SUN in seattle.[emoji1]

Surgery Date: 12/15/16. 45lb gone! -
I've tried a tall skinny vanilla latte, 100 cal, 9 Protein it didn't sit right with me. I was 6 weeks post-op. Now I just stick to a tall blonde drip with stevia. Of course always check with your NUT. Not all of them will approve coffee. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

Corn chips and crackers
JodiT140 replied to P.R.Jones's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was cleared by my NUT for whole wheat crackers. I was told I had to let them desolve in my mouth and limit to a couple not the whole box. I know it's hard to wait but don't eat anything crunchy until your cleared my your doctor. Just a side note my nut wants me to have some carbs in my diet. Yours may have a different plan for you! Good luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App -
Exercise post-op how long until treadmill can be used?
JodiT140 replied to ohboyx3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It's really up to you and your surgeon. Mine doesn't want her patents to work out until 6 weeks after my surgery. I spoke with her last week and let her know that I feel great. However she doesn't want me to push myself too hard. So no go for me until February. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App -

Why do you think Genepro is crap. I'm shopping for a flavorless protein. I'm read reviews but still undecided. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App -

My experience was similar to Rebecca66. I had my surgery at 7:20am. I was out of it most of the day. The only bad experience I had was a bad reaction to the pain meds. Throwing up nothing hurts like hell. Couldn't get them to change my pain meds until 2am. After that I got some real sleep and was out the next day. My husband had to attend to the kids too so I didn't see him until I was ready to be discharged. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

Thank you all for your support! I am going through with the surgery! It's scheduled for the 15th of December. Come hell or high water as my mom use to say, I going to make this happen for me! -
What's your pre surgery weight?
JodiT140 replied to ambernoel's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 5'8 and 292lb. My surgery date is the 15th of December. I'm so excited and so nervous at the same time. I have a huge fever of failure. But that can be a big motivator. -
What was your pre op diet?
JodiT140 replied to Travus Carlo Arcamone's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Starting mine tomorrow! 2 protein drinks and one meal. Very low carb, sugar and fat. I get all the non starch veggies I want including some broth. Absolutely no fruit, juice and no alcohol. The meal consist of 3-6 Oz chicken, fish or pork tenderloin. 1/2 cup starch (potato, corn, peas) and unlimited non starch veggies. -
25 days in hospital...need advice!
JodiT140 replied to concernedwife99's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Um, really? The nurse has absolutely no influence on the physician, and very little with the administration. While she may be wrong, she is sharing her experience in that facility. I agree that she should offer some ideas such as contacting the patient advocate or the CNO, but firing her? Really? As a nurse, I don't excuse poor behavior, but firing over this? I don't think so.Yep really! It's my opinion and I feel strongly that no patient should Ever be mad to feel like they have no options. Clearly that facility does not make the patient a priority. The nurse has absolutely NO control in this situation. Firing the nurse would be pointless because the issue is way over what a nurse can possibly navigate!! The OP needs to get access to the practices Medical Director, the hospitals board of directors and a lawyer asap!!!! An advocate or hospital nursing supervisor can provide these contacts for you. ALWAYS make record of names, dates, times and incidents. Try to get EVERYTHING in writing. I would not let them know I contacted a lawyer at this point. But I would definitely be a "squeaky wheel" until I was satisfied that the best was being done for my loved one. Sent from Dee~Dee via BariatricPal I'm not going to continue arguing whether or not the nurse should keep her job. But I think we can all agree that what is happening to this poor patient and his family is wrong. And I think we all agree they need help, love and prayers. -

I agree with kschultz007! That nurse should be fired! I work at a hospital too and we would never do this to our patients. Do you have a case manager with your insurance? They can guide you through the referral process to ensure your covered. I wish you the best of luck and don't stop pushing until you get some answers and proper care! -
