Hair loss - when does it stop?!!!!!
Syaniya replied to CJ Sunshine's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Mine started at around 3 months and stopped around 6 or 7 months. I had hair to my butt and needed 4 elastics to hold it in a ponytail. I now need 1 elastic and can wrap it 3 times. I get about 90 g of protsim a day amd always take my vitamim and biotin. Nothing helped. My surgeon said its just a natural process and will grow back. Now 11 momths out it is growing back, ive cut it halfway up my back so it doesnt look so long and thin. I also didnt dye it that whilevtime because i was worried it would harm it more. It will grow back eventually. Hang in there!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app -

My surgeon recommended the Flimtstones Childrens chewables, and to take 2 a day. Not together, one in morning and one at night. He just recommended tlno gummy vitamins. Also, I buy the Walmart brand, they are 7.99 for 150 in the bottle so it lasts me a little over 2 months, very affordable. Im almost 10 months post vsg and all bloodwork has came back excellent! 2 weeks pre-surgery....very nervous reading some of the posts
Syaniya replied to ~Primrose~'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Remember, everyones surgery is different. I also was worried about all the has pains everyone talks about and I had zero gas pains! I was up walking around about 3 hours after surgery. I had no issues whatsoever. I had surgery on Friday and was driving my kids to school on Monday. I wanted to go back to work in a week because i felt that good, but couldnt get a sooner post op appt and my employer required a release from the surgeon for me to return. I also had reflux befpre surgery and rarely have it now, if I do its because I may lay down to soon after eating. Read peoples posts but dont let them get in your head. Go into surgery date with positove vibes and just know that it will be one of the best decisions you made. Good Luck amd keep us posted on how you are doing. Smoking...struggling to quit for surgery
Syaniya replied to vanelifejourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Use a vape with no nicotine. I had to be nicotine free prior to surgery also, 60 days he said. I did it though because I wanted the surgery more than smoking. You can do it!!!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app -
Yes, my surgeon recommended these, and I also buy the knock offs, Walmart brand childrens chewable. One in the morning and one at night. They recommended not taking them both together Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Everyones program is different. I went home from the hospital on soft foods. Many surgeo.s have their patients on liquid for a bit, but not mine. When in doubt call your nutritionist or surgeons office. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

You have to make sure anything you eat is very moist. Soft white fish goes down very easy like haddock or cod. Also, chicken thighs, add some chicken broth to it and it will slide down easier. I lived off cottage cheese and yogurt when i was forst sleeved. Scrambled eggs mamy people eat, but they came right back up for me. Now 9 months out I can get them down sometimes, but not all the time, not sure why. Good luck, just try small bites and youll figure out what works for you, everyone is different .
