Yes, my surgeon has liquids for 1 to 2 days, then onto soft foods, then at about 2 weeks, easing into other foods, as tolerated. My surgeon also only has us do 1 day of preop liquids only diet. He said no need to have us do liquid only diet as he can just move the liver out of his way. Your doctors not a quack, everyone just has their own plan that works for their program. Keep up the great work [emoji4]

Yes, definitely bringing chapstick!! Nothing worse than dry lips, especially if you cant drink for a few hours. -
It depends on your insurance. My insurance will use a pcp visit to count as one of the 6 month visits. I went to my pcp 10/26, then surgeon and nut nov, dec, jan, feb, and on Monday march 6 had my last visit with surgeon, they submitted it either that day or the next to insurance and got approved on thursday. Im now getting sleeved this Friday 3/31. I have heard that some insurances want exactly 6 months to the day and also if the pcp doesnt have good notes regarding weight issues they may have excluded that visit. Good Luck [emoji4]

Im just bringing, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, book, phone charger, chapstick. The clothes I wear into the hospital will be the clothes I wear home the next day. My nurse told me we dont shower there, so ill just shower once I get home. Dont feel like I need to bring to much with me, I should only be there overnight and ill be busy trying to sip and walk, lol [emoji4] -

Alos, my surgeon did a test for cotnine and also took labs ladt week. My surgery is Friday, if i didnt quit smoking 3 momths ago, i wouldnt be having surgery. Every surgeon is dofferent but my surgeon requires 60 days of not smoking before surgery.
-
Yes patches are ok, even the nicotine gum is ok. My surgeon said they can tell the difference between cigarettes and any stop smoking aid.
-
I am allowed to drink through a straw as long as it doesnt bother me, meaning i take in too much air my nut said. As far as carbonation, they advised against it.
-
Wow, what a difference in just a short time, keep it up
-
Childrens tylenol because they come in chewables and liquids...you may have problems swallowing pills since you cant deink big gulps of anything.
-
I havent had surgery yet, but my surgeon said oh youve had 3 c-sections then this will be nothing to you.

You want to undergo major surgery agsin for only 30 pounds?? Why not just go back to the basics...protein first, measuring your food, no snacking, no drinking with meals, etc....
