    2 years post surgery problems

Yes I do. I was kinda wondering if that was maybe a problem. I’m not having any other problems with pain my side or anything.
  2. I had gastric bypass December 2016. I have been what the doctor called a model patient. I lost more than expected the first year. I started at 242 and now at 134. I actually have stopped trying to lose weight and stay stable in weight. I lost 5 pounds without trying. The past 2 months I have been sick to my stomach more. I have been nauseous and it actually feels like the surgery was just done. After surgery I had weird tastes and smelled smells differently. I’m having all this again. I go back in 2 weeks for my annual visit. Just curious if anyone else had the same thing happen.

    Is this normal?

I had gastric bypass on 12/6/16. The surgery went excellent as far as pain and recovery. Now that I am a month out I have no energy. My mind is out there most of the time. I am so forgetful and just absent minded. I have NEVER been like that before surgery. I could remember things from when I was a child now I question myself on where my kids were born! On top of this a week after surgery I have started stuttering. What in the world would make this happen? Is this normal and I am over reacting? I see the doctor next week but would be nice to be relaxed to know it's normal before then. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I am 4 weeks post op as of tomorrow. I started the soft food stage Sunday. At this point I'm still, I'm still unable to handle much. I eat very slowly but still it's hurts after I eat. Sunday I had some food and only ate about 5 bites and done. Right now the thought of food kinda makes me nauseous. Is this normal? Should I call the dietitian or doctor to see if I should step back a stage? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I had surgery on December 6. I woke up and felt good. I was expecting pain but I had nothing. One took pain meds one time. Walking definitely is the key to helping get rid of gas and walk off the soreness. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I am 9 days post op. Everything went smoothly but mood swings. I am so moody. It feels like pregnancy mood swings. One minute I'm happy the next minute I am in tears. I am on antidepressants to help but they aren't helping. Is this normal and will go away? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Partial denial

I'm actually not to sure. The doctor just explained they use it depending on how much weight you have lost during the process. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Partial denial

After waiting for months, I am waiting for insurance to approve. I have bcbs of MN. They approved the whole surgery but denied the long band. The doctor said that the long band may not be needed but sent in to get it approved. They said the band is to experimental for gastric bypass. So now I have to pay $1800 to get my surgery approved.
