I have found that I get a tight feeling that tells me to stop. It's just uncomfortable, not painful and I typically get it within the first few bites of a meal. That would be great, but I find that if I stop eating and sit there - like when I'm eating with a group- within a few minutes that feeling is gone and then I have no restriction. Does anyone else feel like this? Still, if I go on eating I don't eat near as much as before, but definitely more than I think I should be able to eat.

Congrats Fenton! That's really great!! I know you'll make your goal!

Fenton, I forgot to post this yesterday, but I love Family Guy. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that, but I do love it - but my number 1 show is the Office. Any other fans? Amanda, I've tried numerous types of socks and I still blister. I'm going to just not exercise until my feet heal. Maybe if all the blisters are given a chance to heal they won't come back! I'll just have to be extra careful with my food intake. Thanks for the suggestions though. It's great to be able to talk about all my issues with people that understand.

Lynn, I'm curious. Are you losing 3 lbs a week? I have my daily plate set up for 2.5 lbs a week. I'm logging everything and I may go over a little about twice a week. I exercise but only log about 1/2 my exercise time because I think the exercise calories are a little over-estimated. I'm only losing about a lb a week.

Thanks for the reminder Fenton. I'm such a damn yo-yo! I think that no matter what my size I will have those "fat" days. I think my problem is that I've slacked on my exercise this past week. I've always got a blister on my feet and now my hamstring feels kind of funny. I've purchased 3 new pair of tennis shoes and nothing seems to help the blisters issue. I think it's from all the years of wearing shoes I could just slip my feet into. Most of the time I know that I'm eating right and exercising so no matter how slow the lbs come off, I know they are coming off and I'm ok with that. About once every 2 weeks I'll have a day where I'm just disappointed in myself.

A-dub, I love the hair! I had a fill last Monday. I am now at 2.4 ccs in a 4 cc band. So far I have no restriction. I can eat Pasta, bread and rice with no problem. Still, I'm losing approximately 1 lb a week which is better than nothing. I just wish that when I have those days, like this weekend when I wanted everything in sight, the band would put a stop to some of it going down. Every time I go for a fill I just KNOW that this will it and I'll start dropping 2 or 3 lbs a week without having to struggle so much for it. I'm disappointed.

Wow Westcoast!! You are doing great!! I am struggling toward that 40 lb mark! I have trouble with pants fitting. If they are right in the legs I can pull them up to my bra. That's been my struggle as long as I've been overweight though. I think they designers think that as you get bigger around you also get taller!
-
Lynn, Lisa and Christine, Yay for y'all!!! You are doing great. Fenton, you are an inspiration to us all.

I know Amanda! I've been checking all day and nothing new. I'll just say that I weigh every single morning and I don't feel guilty about it. I find that knowing that number every single day helps keep me focused during the day.
-
I just feel the need to congratulate everyone! It seems like we are all doing great and everyone is such an inspiration to me. Honestly, if someone told me a year ago that I'd soon be walking 4 miles a day I would have laughed at them. I'm so excited about this journey. Thanks everyone!

I had my 4th fill today. My doctor purchased the x-ray machine to use the barium swallow so he could tell I was very loose. Hopefully, this fill will do the trick and I'll really see restriction. 5 lbs to onderland. Friday, it was only .6 lbs. My goal is to be there by July 4th. K-pod, I cannot say enough good things about Chantix. I tried everything else and nothing worked for me. It does have strange side effects. I had to start Lexapro while I was on it but the Lexapro kept me happy and the Chantix kept me smoke free. It also gives you very, very vivid dreams but other than that, I had no problems. If you find yourself struggling with the patch, I strongly urge you to get a prescription for Chantix.

Well, I've had diet coke and rum, 3 beers and lots of wine since being banded. Nothing has given me a problem. Although, I do get tipsy much quicker.

Well, after my huge Mexican food lunch I got home and walked 4 miles in an hour, then I was feeling so good I decided to run a little. I actually jogged an entire lap around the track. Yeah, I thought I would collapse, but I did it! I may have messed up lunch but I rocked the track today!!!
-
Ugh! I broke down today after some co-worker drama and had Mexican food. It was amazing and I just couldn't stop myself. I now know that tacos, enchiladas and tostados all go down with absolutely no problem. As do the chips and salso. I used to go to this restaurant 2-3 times a week and this was my first time there since banding. At least I know that I can't go in there and have any semblance of control. I'm getting a fill on Monday and I NEED it!!!

I've been using the daily plate too. It helps with food but when you track your exercise, I think it way over estimates how much you burn. I bought a heart monitor thing to wear when I exercise for a better estimate. It's still in the box though.

I've only lost about 35 lbs too and my surgery was on March 7. I exercise every day and eat what I should. I know it's just going to be slow. Losing weight has always been a struggle for me. This is just going to be a long one!

I LOVE Kayaking!!! It really is fun, although it usually involves more beer and sandbars than actual kayaking for me. congrats on going with a shirt and shorts! That is a major NSV. I shed the shirt this weekend but kept the shorts!

Wow! I was at the lake all weekend and expected to find myself pages behind on here. There were only 9 posts all weekend! I guess everyone was out getting active!!!

Fenton, Congratulations! I am 3.5 lbs from onederland and I've been there for about 2 weeks. Actually, I had gone up to 5lbs away but today I was back to 3.5. Then I got to work and had Ruffles and a cream cheese dip, so I'm guessing I'll be back up tomorrow. Just a week and a half till my next fill.

A co-worker of mine recently started losing large clumps of hair. Her doctor discovered that she had elevated testosterone levels that was causing it. If it continues I would get an in depth workup done just to make sure it isn't something that's not related to your surgery.
-
Scrappy, that is fantastic weight loss! Congratulations! Annie, Wow, I haven't noticed any hair loss so I was hoping it wouldn't happen. I've heard so many times that it will though. Can you try using Rogaine? I lost a lot of hair after having a c-section so I know how it feels. Keep us updated on the situation!

Christine and Lisa, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You give me hope! For my Protein shake every morning I take the easy way out. I use the EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control. It only has 110 calories and 17 grams of Protein. It's not overly expensive and it comes in little packs of 4. I tried using the protein powder with the slimfast and there are just too many calories for me.
-
I have a liquid breakfast every morning, it's not bad and it is a good start on getting enough Protein. Plus, I am tighter in the morning so as long as I can get Protein shakes down in the morning I know I'm okay. Diva, I was a die-hard ranch dressing addict. Recently I found the Wishbone salad Spritzers in a ranch flavor. It's only 15 calories for 10 sprays and it gives me a nice hint of ranch flavor without all the fat and calories.

Thank you Harley!!! I needed that!
