I think I got it to change back. There is an edit option now in our User CP section and I fooled around with it. In it I chose size 14 font but that was far from 14. As soon as you change it though all of your previous postings change too...so weird. Hope all is going well my friend. DH is off for he entire day riding his motorcycle. The guys are doing the four corners of Massachusetts. Suppose to be around 500 miles...too long of a day for me. I'll stay home where it's quiet Probably bake or something to relax me. My weeks have been tough lately...cooking/baking relax me and it's cheaper than a massage. Although....I'd prefer that haha

I'm here...kinda. I pop in and out....get to hating my computer by the time I'm home at night. ON one all day long and my job is quite stressful most of the time so needless to say when I'm home....not much up to posting. Chrispy and I were talking today about how it feels like we have no restriction...both of us have the same doc and both of us are getting frustrated. We wish our doc did flouro fills. I'm not suppose to go back until December but, not sure my body can handle or my mind for that matter gaining anymore weight  Made chicken soup in my crockpot with the chicken left overs from the chicken I baked on Sunday. It turned out yummy I like home made cause no so much sodium. I can control it better myself. The canned stuff is just so dang salty. Well it's 10:15pm and I have to hit the sack. My neck is killing me tonight...need a chiro visit. It hasn't been the same since my accident I thought it was getting better but, apparently not. Now my left arm and leg have been getting all tingly. Chiro says if not better he's sending me for an MRI. Now...if I could only get my freaking bariatric surgeon to treat me the same way and give me the tests to make sure this band is ok. dang nabbit! Kat and Betty - good to hear you're feeling better. Thanks for the kind words. I'd do anything I could for any of my NJ Gals :frown: Hey Pat...you all healed up and all from your surgery? I have no idea how long it takes to completely heal. It was nice chatting with you the other day...you always make me smile. How you knew I needed a call is beyond me but I appreciate it :mad2:
  6. Elaine, I'm sorry I never knew this message was there. Ummm I'm not the best person to answer this question considering I don't have a blog. Sorry I can't be more help.

Venus deMilo soup...there is a restaurant around here known for their delicious soup. I make a version of it mainly because my son doesn't like most of the veggies they use. When my son was younger he didn't like any veggies so one day I told him we were making "Greg's Special Soup". Because he helped pour the ingredients in the pot and mix it he was willing to try it. His grammy came over for some too and both of us made a big deal out of every bite he took. Saying OH MY I see your muscles growing and his grammy would squeeze his arm. Awww the memories haha. It's basically Minestrone soup really but, here is what we put in it: Venus deMilo Soup 1 28 oz Can pureed tomatoes 1 tomato can full of Water 1 can corn 1 can green Beans 1 can baby peas 1 can carrots 2 envelopes Onion Soup mix 1 to 1.5 pounds hamburger, browned (Optional: lima beans, mushrooms) 1 1/4 cup dry orzos Cut veggies into bite size pieces if they're bigger such as the green beans and carrots. (I cheat and get the Green Giant Kitchen cut green beans) Mix all the ingredients in a pot except Orzos and cook on medium heat until it starts to boil. In a separate pot cook orzos for about 7 minutes, drain and add to soup. If cooking on the stove be sure to stir it once in a while because the orzo will stick to the bottom of the pan. I use my slowcooker on high and let it cook for 3-4 hours or you can cook it on low for 6-8 hours. This soup tastes great served with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and a nice portuguese roll It freezes well too. If you decide to freeze it you'll have to add a little beef broth or water to it when you heat it up as the orzo absorb alot of the liquid. Enjoy

Michaele - I have no idea when you end up moving a size down. I basically waited until my clothes were loser then tried. The unfortnate part is we often "stretch" out clothes when we wear em so knowing the true size isn't always easy. Betty - Made VenusDeMilo Soup and baked achicken today :tt2: gotta go just got company

Unfortunately I have my mortgage with Countrywide and employee there got caught selling personal information...nice letter in the mail from Countrywide a few weeks ago. It's just nuts! I'm praying my information wasn't one of the ones sold. They said it included SS#, DOB, Full name, addresses....oh yea nice! Scarey stuff it really is. I use my debit card everywhere too including restaurants....guess I'll use a credit card instead of my debit card so at least they can't get to my checking/savings accounts huh? Damn theifs! Anywho....I've decided to volunteer for Hospice...you know in my spare time *gulp*. I was at a natural living expo and they had a stand there. It's something I've been thinking about for a long time and ended up talking to a nice woman there. I told her I've always wanted to help out and wasn't sure if patient's wanted Reiki. She said some definately do so I'm suppose to go for training next week. So with this unfill I had (now only about .50cc in my band) it's as if I don't have a band at all  It's not a good thing ladies....because my head needs a band. I'm scared to death with the holidays coming starting with freaking Halloween all the way to New Years. Hell I've put on about 21 pounds since New Years already with all the reflux issue and now the unfill that I'm so scared I'll be right back to where I started in no time. Just as I was thinking...ok I'm going to call and try a fill again....my freaking heart burn is starting up again. I'm beside myself with this. I wish I had the money to do the sleeve, I really do. I think the band is putting too much pressure on my stomach/esphogus and it's causing me these issues  At least with the sleeve you don't have to go for fills etc but, man any operation scares me. I have to get to work....can't do personals but, I'm thinking of ya. bye for now and have a wonderful Friday. TGIF!

81 degrees......Hmmm I think the last one of those we had was in July or early August. It's been around 75-70 here and very damp. Nights have gotten down to the low 40's. Off to a Natural Living Expo today. See what other Holistic things I can get myself into haha

Crocked Crock Pot Queen hmmm now that sounds good hahaha Might have to take myself up on that one hee hee. Actually got one crock pot going already with a nice beef stew and I'm going to start the other one with pulled pork. Easy peasy since I've already cut up the veggies for the stew I just cut up one extra onion for the pulled pork. As Ron Popel says Set it and Forget it hee hee. Just love the cooler weather for this type of cooking. I'm telling ya...I'll have you ladies using those dusty crockpots yet. PAT even you can whip up a meal in one being a lady that tells me she doesn't cook *wink*. Did I tell you folks I made Stuffed Pepper soup in my crock pot last weekend. First time for that one and it was really good. Used the green peppers and Italian Plum tomatoes hubby grew in our garden, heck even he ate it haha. He doesn't care for green peppers but, seeing he grew them I got him to try it. I have the recipe if anyone wants that one. Has anyone tried the pulled pork recipe yet? Ohhh yummy and super tender for us bandsters. Well better go start the pulled pork and hopefully I'll get back here to chat with my banded buddies :bolt:

hahaha Yeap I use them all. I got different sizes because different recipes call for different sizes. I've used 4 at the same time too during parties, one for pulled pork, one for BBQ pulled chicken, another for baked beans and the last one for meatballs  One of the crockpots is a 1 quart size that is the one for hobo beans or sweet and sour meatballs. Sometimes I make soup in it with the leftovers from a chicken dinner yadda yadda. So I have a 7quart, 6 quart, 5 quart and 1 quart. I'd like a 3 or 4 quart or better yet 3.5 if they have it My habit of collecting things I guess hee hee

Kat So good to hear you're doing ok and on your way to recovery. What you're DH did to help you was perfect! Even more meaningful because he was there to help and did even through his skepticisim. I think that's great! It felt good to send the energy and I hope it helped. You were definately in our thoughts and prayers and you are now for a speedy recovery. Betty - You feeling better now and the infection cleared up? Did they say what caused the infection? Scarey stuff...geesh! Just got home from a ride that took MUCH longer than I thought. I was a great ride into NH but, I have so much to do UGH. Isn't it always the way? I guess I'll have to squeeze the work into the after hours times during the week. Fortunately I made Stuffed Green Pepper Soup in my crockpot yesterday so that's todays dinner  At least dinner is made haha. I just love my crockpots :girl_hug: I have 4 of them and I have my eye on a 5th maybe for Christmas. Different sizes are great to have :sneaky: Well I need to start some laundry, that won't wait for during the week because I need the clothes for work. I don't have many to choose from so it's wash and wear every week for me anyway. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi Peeps....sorry too tired to update and wow there are alot of us now huh? Eileen - I feel ya with the needing a fill. I had that slight unfill and although the reflux has gone away now I'm nervous because I can eat too much. I obviously try not to over do it but, it's SO HARD to not eat things you shouldn' t  I swear it's a good thing my "will power" doesn't have calories because I've eaten my will power too many times already. I'm trying to weigh the food, measure it etc. Did great the beginning of the week then my stress level going on over the week ending, not seeing what I was hoping to see in my paycheck after spilling my guts really hurt....so what did I do? Did I exercise it away nope....UGHHHH. I need a band for my head!

I love em but, don't think I'll be doing two dogs again. Not much going on here.....busy with work, nothing new. Stupid me was suppose to be on vacation all week but, said I'd go in on Mon and Tuesday because of a meeting on Tuesday. I should of kept my mouth shut...i could use the time off.
