Hey Cindy..that's just awesome about the quilt. It will be such a special one too because your mom started it and you're finishing it. Wow....that's just fantastic and to think of the wonderful memories you'll be thinking as you're all cozied up underneath it. When you do hand quilt it....I think it would be very special to quilt in things that you and mom shared that were extra special. Oh please show us a picture of your work in progress

Ooo that does sound yummy Betty and Ummm Bean...I'm with Betty..that cake sure sounds yummy! Been a while since I've had cake I did make a chocolate chip banana bread this weekend though..but the guys like that more than me. Here is the recipe for the Crock Pot chicken Cacciatore: Crock Pot Chicken Cacciatore 1 1/2 cups diced onion (I cheat and buy it frozen) 1 cup diced chopped green pepper (I cheat and buy it frozen) 1 lb can tomatoes (I used crushed cause the guys hate chunks) 1 (8 oz) can tomatoe Sauce 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 tsp crushed oregano 1/2 tsp basil 1/2 tsp celery seed 1 bay leaf 1 cup dry white wine or apple juice (I used the wine){optional} 1 chicken, cut up (or use browned chicken breasts cut into smaller pieces) stir it all up and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. If you use cut up chicken breasts, cooking time can be reduced.) Thats the recipe but, I also added 1 jar of spaghetti sauce and 1 14oz can of italian tomatoe. One hour before we were going to eat I threw in a 1 lb box of uncook wheat penne noodles and they were delicious and tender and they soaked up some of the liquid to make the sauce thicker. But if you don't want to do that you can make rice on the side and serve it with that. It was a hit with everyone. I really stirred up the chicken so it shreadded too. Enjoy! Can't do personals my friends...this chick is still using energy just to breath lol. But I love ya all and hope you're all doing well and shrinking. (You know so it rubbs off on me lol)

HEE HEE it is gross but, I really was wondering what was causing pups to be sick. BIL thought they could catch our sicknesses but I didn't think so. Hopefully I won't be going home to a lovely mess in the kennels To boot Jake stepped in it and dragged it all over my kitchen...gotta love 'im YUCK! In the meantime......I wanna be able to breath so I can start loggin in some mileage here. I don't wanna let my girls down here
-
hahaha yeap bunnie poo is like popcorn to them and deer poo an appetizer YUCK! Does that make them sick though?
-
Darcy - The puppies only eat their food (Other than I give them a small piece of what I can't finish but, I haven't done that in a long time.) but, the other day Jenny wouldn't listen and come back to DH when he called her when she went into the woods. So we're wondering if she ate something dead out there and then showed Jake where to find it after. YUCK! I try to tell DH and DS to keep the pups on the leash when it's bathroom time but, they don't listen to me and since DH does most of the care I can only push so much. I have a feeling miss Jenny ate a dead squirrel, mushrooms or something else rotten back there ewwww.

Morning....still stuffed up and hacking but at least at work today. Hmmm should of stayed in my jammies though I think. This weekend I made Eileens recipe for egg muffins. I must say they came out nice and fluffy and everyone at the house was asking me what I was making lol. I had BIL, SIL and a friend over for dinner along with my own family and I made those after we were done eating. They really don't take long to make either. I just finished one for breakfast and it was delish! Thanks Eileen! DH took a few for breakfast this morning too. I stuck the rest in the freezer in individual baggies to grab on the way to work. I made Chicken Cacciatore in the crockpot and it came out AWESOME! DH cut up a 3-4 pound chicken for me and I used that. The recipe is easy and the chicken came out really tender. I'll post the recipe later if anyone would like it. It fed 6 people with enough left over for 3-4 more servings. I used wheat pasta in it and it came out really tender. Well I need to get to work. Have a great day folks and if I'm not too popped tonight I'll get back to do personals. *hack, cough, sniffle* Oh yea.....both puppies are sick too. Ohhhh it ain't pretty at my house. DH took care of them but what a mess! Jenny seems to have gotten over it but, now Jake started with the "D" this morning UGH. Does anyone know if Dogs get people illnesses?

I'm glad you enjoyed your anniversary dinner Eileen. Still stuffed up here, feeling a little better but the cough is giving me one heck of a headache. Hopefully this is my usual ONE and only cold for the season but, we'll see :scared: Trying to surf the net for a crock pot recipe for chicken something...maybe cacciatore (if I spelled that right....not easy to find when you don't ha? hahaha)

Teens and the mall. My son is off at the mall with his friends.....16 and man I'm still not used to this stuff. Can ya tell he's my only one? lol. Hubby says I gotta let go but, you know....it's just not that easy. Not feeling well....worrying about the kid....doesn't make for a good combo lol. I know I know I have to let him grow up but, I don't like it Thank goodness he's a good boy..ummm young man. Any of you go through this stuff yet? I know alot of you have youngins just wasn't sure who had older kiddos to worry about.

Unfortunately Susan, with malpractice suits I can understand why a doc wouldn't want to touch a patient of another doctor let alone someone having work outside of the country. That is why most docs don't want to work on another patient. The liability is just too high. I would highly recommend talking to surgeons in our area just so you don't have to go through that. Have you gone that route yet?
-
Susan have you actually tried any of the Bariatric centers here in Boston first? I thought any BMI over 30 with additional co-morbidities were accepted. Do you have back pain, foot pain, knee/joint pain, high blood pressure, sleep apnea? Any of those plus some others are considered co-morbidities. I also believe if you fill out an application/questionairre with BIDMC they'll let you know if you'd be accepted into the program or not without paying any fees yet. I think you should give that a shot.

Glad you liked it Mandy

Dang its cold -12 degrees here with the wind chill factor. I'm in my jammies and big fluffy bathrobe trying to shake this thing. Its got me whooped right now. Take care y'all

Eileen for the Egg Muffins can you use liners?
-
Happy Birthday Bean!!!!

Isn't that strange....I told my bariatric surgeon's assistant (or trainee) the same thing that when TOM is around my band is really tight he said he had never heard it. So when the surgeon came in he told him that and Dr. Jones said although he's never had that complaint he can understand that if my body usually held onto 2-3 pounds of fluid it would make sense. Geesh! Male docs hahaha

Good Mornin' Darcy ....back at ya. Peekin in....at work but, not sure I'll last today. My nose feels like sandpaper and looks like Rudolfs lol. Feelin under the weather on this VERY cold New England day. Entertained the account last night...left my briefcase at work so had to come in today even though I'm feeling like crapola. Eh...say la' vee'...do what I can today and then maybe head home early and slip into my jammies. Ahhhh now that would be nice  Hope you all have a wonderful day!
-
Hey Nana that's good to hear. You can ask Chrispy about the protidiet too she's the one that told me about it. I know the liquid form of it only has one type of protein so they recommend it's not your only source but, for the few weeks where you're on nothing but liquids its ok to use. I hope it works for you. I liked the grape and fruit punch one myself.
-
ugh my nose is runny yet stuffy...hate that BLECK Meeting went well but, I'm pooped. Must be catching everyone's cold that has had them around me. Hmmm should of made chicken Soup this week hahaha.
