Hey John if it was me you sent email to nope I didn't receive it. You can send private messages here but, I'll pm you my home email just in case. It's tough because they're making so many changes to this website that I think things are getting lost. When you say you're drinking too much..what is it that you're drinking? I can't seem to get enough liquid in. I had a fill last month that was a fiasco...ended up being so tight I couldn't swallow my own saliva by the next day. So I had to go back in the day after the fill for an unfill. Kinda feel as if I now have less of a fill than when I went in in the first place. So FRUSTRATING! Unfortunately, for me...and "that" time of the month my band gets exceptionally finicky so I get truly restricted. I end up feeling like I have a bubble in there all the time and that's just totally distracting. I can't tell if I need to eat or if I need to burp or worse. That goes on for about 3 days or so. Anyway, I feel your stress.....lots been going on here too besides my band. Stress doesn't help the band either UGH. Eh...one day at a time is the best we can do

Eileen....you're right those things at the bottom are weird. If ya click it it brings you to another website to sign into. Odd! I'm feeling good. Right now things are tight because of TOM but when that passes it's as if I never got a fill. Hate that but, seems I'm out of luck. Doc doesn't want to see me for another 6 months after the last fill episode. He claims there is more in there than when I went for the fill but, I can't feel it. I think he took too much out but, how do you argue when you can't see the needle? I need to get my ARS moving...that's the solution to this plateau from hell! but do I do it? Of course not. Now that mom moved out...I'm hoping to turn her bedroom into an exercise area. We'll see how that goes. Has anyone see the exercise program Hip Hop Abs? I love the music...just curious if anyone has the program and if they like it.

oh boy these meal times sound more like a project. Chrispy...I'm game for anything so book us away my friend. I have no favorite foods I just go with whatever is moist and mostly Protein hahaha. Eating in the castle really sound like fun though if we can do that Well...just finished my laundry, picking up the dinner dishes, picking up the living room, printing out a 16 page self study on Pivot tables...so much for learning that this weekend UGH. just so much to do with helping my mom move that I have no energy to have that stuff sink in. My brain is so fried! The good news...only a few more things left in mom's apartment downstairs. We moved more stuff this afternoon. POOR DH.....he wishes he was small and wimpy instead of burly and strong cause he gets stuck moving more stuff He's having trouble with Sciatica lately too. Chiro for him tomorrow. He's been wonderful. Surprise call from my brother today...wanted to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. After all that's happened with my family I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. It made my day actually...besides the nice card my son got me :rose: Well...time to make sure my briefcase is all set for tomorrow...hmmm I should pay bills but, ya know....I just don't feel like it. It will have to wait until tomorrow.

Anyone else notice that even with advanced you can't see the entire page anymore? With all these adds on the left and no scroll bar I can't see the smilies etc to place them in here. There is an awful lot of blank space to the left of this too. Eh I'm sure they'll get it all set soon. Mandy - I do hope you're daughter if feeling better and the nosebleed is all set. You know I used to have a bloodvessel so close to the top on the inside of my nose that it would bleed every time I blew my nose. That happened alot when I was younger. I used to have to stuff cotton up my nose so it would help clot. I grew out of it without having to have anything done, I hope the same for your daughter. Glad to hear you got that slight unfill. Been there myself just last month. Crazy isn't it? I feel as if I can eat too much again and I haven't lost anything in a long time but, I'm too scared to have it adjusted again as that being too filled was just too scarey. Not being able to swallow my own saliva was terrible. Hope you're feeling much better. Disney is coming quick...OH YEA OH YEA:Banane44: Bean - Sounds like things are falling into place for you as well (and I'm not talking about the trees :rose: ) I'm glad you're less stressed with your new job and you're right...best move to be less stressed so you can take on the classes you need to move on to your real goal - Teaching! I think that's wonderful. It takes a special person to be able to teach and teach well. I wish you the best on that journey. I have a digital scale myself....I was always leary of digital ones but, they've come a long way. I have a Tanita that works great. It was pricey but, it's been accurate..sometimes too accurate :phanvan . Best wishes with your courses! How long will it take for you to complete the courses you need to begin teaching? Eileen - How are you doing with your Water? I think yesterday I got in maybe 2 bottles thats it. Man I need to work on that! I even think DH helped himself of 1/2 of one of those bottles :rose: So work has been crazy for you too? How much longer before they find a replacement for your old job? Then of course the training that you'll need to do for that too huh? It does take a while to train replacements. I know I'm still training mine but, they're doing great. There is so much to remember. Sometimes when training your replacements too you take things you've done for granted and don't realize you didn't show them how until it comes up that it wasn't done :guess Oopsy. Live and learn right? I found it helpful to write down everything I did each day and at certain times of the month. They've found it very useful. Hope things calm down some for you :rose: Patty - Congratulations on your surgery date. Maybe your BP was up because you're nervous about the surgery and everything you need to do before and after it? I know ever time I go to the docs they have to take mine a few times because its high when they first do it and as the doc talks to me I calm down and it goes down. Especially during those Pap test visits UGH. My BP has gone to normal since losing the weight with the band. I think you're going to do great with it! Congrats and best wishes with your surgery. Betty - No need to apologize. Heck I know first hand how life gets pretty busy with lots to do and of course just stupid things that come up sometimes. I hope you're able to enjoy your gardens and that you're having a wonderful Mother's day. Miss you! Kat - I've been praying for you and DH. I do hope things get better for you both and calm down for a while. You both deserve it. Know that everyday I think of you and send my angels to help. You're a wonderful woman, supportive friend and I want you to know I'm thinking of you. Hugs my friend! Cindy - Busy woman :rose: I'm sorry about your friend....prayers are sent daily for him. I do hope he's doing ok and getting better. I hope you had a good time at your nephews graduation. Thank you for all the well wishes on my son's recovery too. I truly appreciate that. Hope things slow down a bit for you so you can enjoy some "self" time soon. Hugs Darcy - I miss you girl! I hope your closing process is going well. Ohhhh it will be awesome to be able to relax in your cabin especially one as beautiful as that one. Congrats! I would love to do that as a vacation sometime....cabin in the woods, beautiful day, sit outside and enjoy the birds, squirrels and other animal sounds. Just the wind blowing through the trees...ahhhhhh I could use that right now hee hee. Looks like I'll have to settle with the back deck before the mosquitoes come hee hee Hope everything is going well for you. Looks like I'll have an exercise room soon and be able to track some miles again :rose: Mom left her treadmill here so I'm planning on making her bedroom an exercise room with the treadmill, my stationary bike, tv, VCR/DVD with all my exercise tapes collecting dust. Now that I'll have that room on a ground floor I'll be able to move around and not kickbox anything or anyone or make it sound like there is an earthquake hahaha Chrispy - You've been a busy woman. I hope the wedding goes well and things. Disney is coming girlfriend. WE BOTH need it. What happens in Disney stays in Disney hahaha :rose: (meaning...when I scream my head off on the rides don't tell hahaha) Well advanced mode only goes so far back and my memory just isn't that good this early (Ummm we'll blame it on the time of day versus my age lol) Hugs to you all! Happy Mother's day!

Happy Mother's Day! I wanted to wish all my mom friends Happy Mother's Day. I hope you all get spoiled with hugs and kisses from your little ones. (Mine is 17 and he'll always be my little one ) I finally feel as if things are getting simplier in my life. YIPPEE and knock on wood lol. Yesterday DH and I spent the day moving my mother out and into her new apartment. That feels kinda weird because she's been living with us for two years in her own place downstairs. We had combined homes after my step-father passed away. I thought it was wonderful of my DH (boyfriend at the time) to want to help me help my mom. (Even with knowing the history of my childhood - lets just say I was always the adult in the family.) Anyway....I was happy to be able to help her through the morning of my step-father and keeping her from feeling completely lonely. She has someone in her life now and they've decided to live together. Long stressful story with that but, it's for the best that she has her own place. She's only 5 miles or so away so if she needs help we can be there pretty quick yet, we now have our privacy too. So it's back to DH, DS and me...and as much as it feels weird....it feels good too. Work....thats getting better too. I have alot of studying to do in regards to Excel Pivot Tables but, I'm getting it. My trainer has been great and truly understanding especially since this accident my DS was in. That was quite a trip to have to take in my life but, we made it. So one day at a time, work hard, study and I'll get there :rose: I know in time, I'll be buzzin through these reports thinking nothing of it just like the ones I had to learn as a supervisor and seemed just as hard at the time. I know them like the back of my hand and I know I will these reports as well. The company I work for is really growing and I look forward to being there and helping them with that growth. I'm also moving along in my Reiki Journey. I'm attending a weekend class to be able to pass attunements to others and teach Reiki. I'm getting my Master Level Attunement and teaching certificates. I was told by my Masters/Teachers that this journey I've been on with my family was a guiding to the path that I need to be on. My mom moving out has opened a door for me to have my own Reiki practice and teaching space. I didn't even think of that until I told them what was going on and they both just smiled. They then told me they weren't moving along their journey too and wanted to pass along their Reiki level 1, 2 and 3 business so that they can concentrate more on the higher level classes and teach others those. They then told me they had already decided who they'd refer their Reiki 1, 2, and 3 business to...me and two others that have been on the same journey with me. They trust us to take care of their clients and felt it was almost time to pass that on. They invited (you have to be asked) me and my friends to take the Master Level/teaching course so we're doing that on the 19th. I'm really getting excited about this whole journey in my life because truly Reiki helps me feel balanced in mind, body and soul. I feel so good spiritually when I get back to basics and get back to taking some time each day for me even if it's only 15 minutes. Aww my son just gave me a wonderful Mother's Day Card....made me cry. He just laughed and gave me a big hug and kiss. Ahhhh Mother's Day is now complete :rose: I'm going to post this so hopefully I don't lose it then do personals :rose:

Water...did someone say drink water. Hmmm I think I need to permanently be hooked up to an IV in order to take in enough H2O I've always been bad with that...so hard to even remember to drink anything while I'm at work and then so busy on weekends I forget. When I remember..I've just eaten so I can't drink.

Hello everyone....I've sent my prayers and asked my angels to help everyone that needs it and even those that haven't asked My son is healing up well. He is able to walk a bit around without his crutches so he's able to put weight on his hip for a short bit. That's a good thing Now I have to get him out there driving again once his eyeglasses come in. (lost his in the accident) I don't want him to be afraid to drive so we'll have to take it slow and build back up again. He'll need to get to work without me when he gets back to it during the week instead of just weekends. They've been super understanding. Work has been busy as usual. Like Eileen I have to grab lunch while I work...always have for the 4 years I've been there. Trying to learn pivot tables and how to manipulate the information in them so I can understand them better and the results as well so I can explain to the clients what's going on with their accounts. Not an easy task but I have to say the guy I'm replacing is really being patient in showing me how to do the reports and has been totally understanding when it came to my son's accident etc. I thought for sure he'd be out of the position by now and really be pressing but, he's really been understanding. I'm going to owe him a BIG favor for sure. He loves cake so I might have to bake him one as a thank you. Lots to do tomorrow. Chores, get my son to work, more chores, plant a veggie garden, clean my car...get my son yadda yadda hahaha. Hope everyone enjoys your weekend. Hugs to you all and I hope you're all doing well and shrinking. Me.....I think I'm stuck on quite a large and long plateau UGH. Had the fill, then the supposed slight unfill but, nothings budged.

Seems to me that's pretty quick considering this is your first informational class. You need to go to two of those, psych eval visit, ultrasound, physical with Dr. H from the bariatric center, plus be accepted into the program in the first place through an application/questionnaire. After you've completed all those, THEN they meet to discuss who is accepted for surgery. Then you meet with a surgeon and book a date after speaking with him/her. Sounds pretty aggressive but, they'd know best if it's even possible. Good luck.

I started my process the week of Thanksgiving and had my surgery Feb 13, 2006. I know they're getting pretty busy there but, I don't think it takes much longer than that if all goes well with your insurance. Good luck!

    Am I Overfilled??

Becca I had the same thing happen with my third fill i received on April 25th. I was able to drink a whole 6 oz glass of water at the office but, as the night progressed I had that tightness in my chest, golfball like without even had eaten anything. We're told to go on liquids for 3 days after a fill but, it was getting so hard to get even water down. By 2pm the next day I had to call the office as my own spit was uncomfortable in my tummy. I went in by 4pm and had a slight unfill. It's much better now but, I have a feeling my doc took out way more than I wanted because I feel my band is looser than when I went in for the fill UGH. There is no true science or way of measuring I guess. So frustrating...one min eating more than you should to not being able to even drink then back to eating more than you think again.

Duh took me 3 days to figure out we're in another month! Lots has happened lately that has kept me from the boards...hopefully things will settle down now and I can get back to normal. Hmmm what's "normal" hahaha. I've been keeping up with the reading of the posts but, just haven't had the time or...urrrrr....or the mental energy to post. I don't like to complain or grumble all the time and just seems with everything going on I was going to do that so I didn't post. Y'all have enough going on yourselves you don't need to be hearing mine...other than my fill fiasco. Did I tell you I'm more hungry now than before that fill UGH. Anywho...son went back to Children's yesterday and the doc didn't even see us. Long story but, he has to go back in 4 weeks. His dad will have to take him for that visit as I'm tired of Boston already and he lives closer anyway. His fracture looks the same so being that it's not worse it's a good thing. He was given the ok to put slight weight back on that hip as tolerable so we're glad about that. Still hobblin with crutches but he's back to school. Kat...hope all is going well with hubby at home. I do hope their able to get things settled for you folks so DH can heal up and feel better soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you two. Cindy...good for you for playing softball. I'd be right there with ya on the falling thing. I'm far from a graceful runner. Heck not even sure I know how to do that anymore. I'm always afraid an ankle or knee will give out. I'm at work so can't read farther back but, I'm thinking of you all! Great weather happening here in Massachusetts I hope you all are getting to enjoy some as well.

Patty, Definately have a friend stay with you at least for the night if not the next day. I know I was pretty sore and it was great that my DH was there to help me out. Mandy I do hope they figure out what's causing this pain for you that's terrible. I would be a mess if I couldn't figure it out myself as well. Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon and definately for your trip. Chrispy and I will be all set for our trip once my tickets with my name are received lol. I think that's pretty funny but, what a hassle. Just cracks me up that we used my credit card and he got that name right yet didn't get it right on my tickets. Thank goodness Chris is handling it for us...I have a feeling she's gonna talk Disney into giving something for our hassle. Hmmm maybe those late night/after hour tickets they have occassionally. Are they having that during our stay? Betty - the flowers from your yard are so beautiful. You must spend alot of time with them. Sorry to hear about your car...hope you got that fixed now. Hows the foot? Bean - I hope all is going well for you with your job search. Did you get the offer for the position that's close to you? Did I miss that posting? Hope the right job comes your way. How is your DH feeling now...much better I hope! Cindy - You are one busy woman So much for retirement. Have you be able to do anything fun for yourself? Eileen - How is the job going? I certainly know how you feel doing more than one job. It's killing me that I've missed a week and a half I can only imagine what my desk looks like. I'm able to work from home but, some things just have to be done at the office. I'm feeling much better now, thanks for asking but, I'm scared now that the fill wasn't enough after he took some out UGH. Kat - Sooo sorry about your hubby. Please know he's in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy solution and recovery so he can come back home. Scarey stuff for sure isn't it. You've had so much going on....I hope things slow down for you a bit. I know I've missed some...but I have to head out and get some groceries. I was at a pig roast this early afternoon so now I have to play catch up. Oh my son's title to his car came in today. Hmmm you know the car he doesn't own anymore UGH. Now we're looking at something else for him but, that's it I can't do anything more. He's on his own after this. God please ride with him

WJT - GasX strips and walk, walk, walk that's the best you can do for that gas. I'm up to meet on May 5th provided my son is doing ok. I don't know if I told you all but he was in a car accident on the 17th and fractured his hip. We wound up at Children's in Boston because they needed to make sure his organs were ok..thankfully he walked (on crutches) out of there with a sprained hand and fracture hip..that's it. He's one lucky teen. We go back up to Children's on the 2nd for more xrays and a CT scan to make sure he's doing ok. Where is everyone planning on meeting? I haven't really heard anything other than the same place as before so if that's changed in need an update. How many can make the 5th versus another date. Last I know even the 5th was tough for peeps. Dez....my scale lied, I knew once I could get the Water down it would happen. I got a fill on Wed and had to go for a slight unfill because I couldn't even swallow my own saliva..pretty scarey let me tell ya! I drank the water right down in the office no problem..it was slow but didn't choke me. Well after I left, I think my stomach under the band swelled from the push and pull of the Fluid and that was it. I was up all night with acid/sour stomach and the whole next day I barely got fluids in. I have NO CLUE what the heck is in my band because it's not a true science how it's filled. Jones said on Wed he brought me up to 2ccs yet Thurs for the unfil there was less that 2ccs in the needle when he drew it out. He said I now have more in my band than before my fill on Wed but less than after the fill. SO WHAT THE HELL does that mean? God I hate not knowing the amount in my band...it drives me insane! How the heck do you know if you're going to blow the stinking thing up if you can't track whats in there? I asked well does it evaporate inbetween fills...Jones said no not really. Well then where the hell does it go? I'm frustrated with this part of the band process. I love my band...it's helped me alot but, geesh it's scarey with the fill stuff and not knowing what you got in there. There has to be a better way, there just has to be. To me....track every cc in there from the very beginning from surgery. If you drain it all out during surgery...make sure it's completely out. Then as you do fills first fill only put 1cc in the needle. Push it all in mark it. The next time you go only put .50 cc in the needle. etc. Does anyone else understand how this works? I mean...honestly I wouldn't give this band up unless I had to but, truly through the years you would think a better tracking system could happen ya know? So in my eyes I could have anywhere from 1.25 to 3.00 in my band right now it's crazy thats a huge difference.

Eileen....just tried the soup you love...Campbell's Golden Butternutsquash soup...oh it's yummy! It's helping my tummy too. Thanks a bunch for telling me about it! How is everyone else doing? I miss you Goils...sorry I've only popped in here and there. Been pretty busy with my son. He's doing great though and will be headed back to school on Monday. Finally got the paperwork completed and he has a special ride to and from school so he won't have to try to hop on the bus with crutches

Hi Everyone.....UGH...had a fill yesterday and an unfill today. I couldn't keep my own spit down by the afternoon today so had to run back up to Boston to take some out. I just don't get why the measurements can't be done better. So he claimed I only had about 1.20 in my band so he brought me up to 2cc.....today he brought me down to 1.50. how does that add up? My first fill was 1.25, 2nd fill he only pulled out .50 so he put in 1 full cc on top of that so soooooo my total at that point could of been anywhere from 1.25 to 2.25. Then I go in this time he says I have 1.25 in there and puts in enough to make it 2cc...well so think...I could of possibly had 3.00. It was so damn tight today I really think the whole stinking 3 was in there. I just have no idea what there...all I know is today after the unfill...now i"m hungry again UGH. So frustrating! Son is doing better...getting around better on his crutches but we're still fighting his school to let him back in so he won't have summer school. Hope all is going well..sooner or later..probably later I'll get to personals again.
  24. Doesn't your doc have rules to follow after a fill? I know mine says 3 days liquids, 3 days mushies then the more solid stuff. The eggs were probably too much too soon for you especially if you got an aggressive fill. I just got one today myself and I already know there is nothing going down except liquids for a while. I believe your stomach swells after the band has been filled because, my doc anyway, takes fluid out, then pushes it back, takes it out then pushes it back with more. All that flexing causes my stomach under the band to swell. Liquids for me for at least 3 days Start back to basics and I think you'll do just fine but, if you can't keep things down definately call your doc and discuss it with him/her.
  25. Congratulations on your band date
