Man...it was already a project trying to figure out how to search LBT without having to outside of LBT with that google search thing at the top. I didn't want to put another March chat in if someone else had done it. I'm still looking on how to use tools in here too so I can be a better help as a moderator but, honestly afta workin on these computers all week it's pretty tough. My mind is still sleepin but, I couldn't sleep anymore this morning hahaha. Eileen - girlfriend......I so hear ya on the need a kick in the butt thing. Do you have a chat function or IM thing you use for quick chatting? lol. Or we're gonna take up the entire thread with this lol

Hi Everyone, I thought I'd post this in here as well as the Massachusetts thread because I wasn't sure who asked me about the BodyBugg before and during our get together. It's actually on sale today at the cheapest I've seen it $199. bodybugg armband device I guess the sale is for Leap Year so it ends today. I know its helped me alot with the stinking 5 pounds I was playing with back and forth. I started using mine again this week and I've lost 3 pounds so far...headed in the right direction now. TGIF!

Hey everyone that asked about the BodyBugg it's on special until today now for $199. Thats about the lowest I've ever seen it and it's a Leap Year special for today... bodybugg armband device I put that bugg back on this week and I've lost 3 pounds. I highly recommend it if you're really stuck or playing with the same 5 pounds or so. Gotta get to work! TGIF -
That's great to hear Mandy! Tell Abi that the wacky, coaster screaming lady said hello and give her a big hug for me :rolleyes2:

they say to give up caffeine because it's a diaretic (spelling?) and since you have to drink slower and not with meals you may get less fluid in so why make it a diaretic? I still have my ice coffee everyday with splenda but, I have it decaffinated. I still like it
-
yeap mine was the same routine as Jacks....2-3 weeks on full liquids, 3 weeks on mushies then solid foods. It really goes by fast and he's right the weightloss was great

It's not silly to have the "fear" my friend. Oh believe me I went through alot of changes in mood, feelings about the surgery etc. Three days prior to surgery I was bawling my eyes out thinking why the heck did I have to do this to my body to lose weight. Why couldn't I just eat less, exercise like I'm suppose to yadda yadda. I finally came to the conclusion that I've tried all those things and it didn't work because why........after a few weeks I hit plateaus so blew it eating again. The band was going to and has kept me from doing that I wish you the best!

Hey Everyone.....We discussed the BodyBugg for a bit at our support meeting and I wanted to get the link out to you. 24 Hour Fitness: 24 Hour Fitness Centers and Health Clubs is the website and bodybugg armband device is the page for the bugg. Good news is it's on sale right now for $224...that's a good price when you consider it's usually anywhere from $299 to $329 depending on the day. The price never hangs around for long so you might want to check it out. The pages will tell you how it works etc. I did purchase the separate watch type device too but, I don't really use it much. Its not very attractive and I find it gets in the way on my clothing at work. I do use it when I go for walks basically to see how much more I have to do to get the 10K steps in haha. DH wears his all the time though so it's up to you. That right now is an additional $99...but I've seen that go on sale for $69. I haven't seen any comments on online coupons lately for it...but you might want to google around to see if you can find one. I bought mine there was one available and with it I got free shipping and the sale price of $229 so it's worth checking out. Good luck everyone...one day at a time, one forkfull at a time (but not too big of a bite hahaha) -

Hey Mel and Deb....You know what, I loved hosting it and plan on having more when we can all get together again. Let me know when the next free weekend is and I'll see what we have going at my place. I teach Reiki and hold classes on weekends but, I can work it out with our meeting too. I really would LOVE to hold one monthly if possible. I was so happy to meet all of you and FINALLY got to meet you Deb. It's been how long now that we've been chatting and FINALLY hooked up hahaha. Anyway...like you both, I've kicked it in today. I started a new program with my bodybugg..reset the goal on it, I'm logging my food, trying to get my Water in and I'll exercise when I get home. I've even placed queue cards on my bathroom mirror that remind me I'm worth this extra effort. (Try doing it for yourself too it really works...it's part of a Reiki lesson I give ) So I already told my hubby I wanted to walk today so now I'm definately committed to doing it because he's going to walk with me. I have to say....I could probably use a fill but, I'm so scared with the reflux crap ya know? I'm really REALLY hungry right now but, trying to hold out until 10:30 to eat the other half of my Protein bar. Chrispy was really glad about the meeting too and is tracking her food too. Hopefully Dez and Ted enjoyed the meeting as well. I do hope to see you all again and hopefully we'll have better weather so more can join us. Thanks so much for coming! I'm here for ya! I can PM my home email addy to you too and my phone number. If you ever need some help, quick support CALL ME!!!!! We can do this together :smile2: -
I think that's what really shocks people the most when they see it lol. They just don't expect me to have one especially that big. I'm hoping to get another one on my other thigh of an angel...just have to find the right one and the money! It's not cheap to get these dang things especially ones this size. He actually cut me a break too. Sometimes it still shocks me that I even have it hahaha. My skin is so pale and that tatoo so bright! My family of course thinks I'm nuts except my brother...he has a huge one on his right calf that goes completely around his leg...it started out with just the Rolling Stones mouth/tongue thing and now there are his kids and wife's names, an angel and a huge cross with Jesus on it. Oh well...at least I like the tatto and the colors. Actually it's not just one needle that pokes ya either....depending on the area sometimes it's 7 or more at once and for the thinner lines 3-4. The only part that was kinda SMART/ouchy was when he was filling in the magenta over the black he had just done. Lots of pokes in the same area but, honestly you get numb to it, you really do. gotta get back to work! Have a great day everyone!

I eat Tums every night too mainly because the stupid acid wakes me up. No matter what I do, eat when I eat etc..still happens. Hate that...it's not anywhere near as bad as it was since the overfill but, still aggrevating. I can eat way too much right now..but I'm afraid to get another fill. I really need to kick up eating right and moving my ARS to get more weight off so I can get another fill with no trouble. Yea...if it were that easy I wouldn't need a fill right? hahaha
-
patti...when was your last fill and how much do you have in your band as compared to the size of the band. If you're throwing up alot that's not a good thing. Have you slowed down, chewed well to see if that helps? Most people really are restricted in the mornings...I know I couldn't eat breakfast until at least 10-11 am on most days when I had more fill. It eased up later on during the day as I drank more liquids with supper being the easiest meal to go down. So you're not out of the normal route for most people actually. But...if you're throwing up too much that's not a good thing.

zoiks..I even sized the first one and it's big geesh. here is the final tattoo  I had crop stuff out hahaha Don't need to be seeing my granny undies lol
-
Ok since I was in a picture taking mood...here is the tattoo you wanted to see and the stages I went through. Basically it took about 12-14 hours to complete. The sun/moon in the center I did about 5 years ago and that alone took 2.5 hours.

Here is my Beta...Fred (son named him hahaha) I've had him for two years now. He always ends up lethargic (spelling?) when I clean his fish bowl lol. I guess all the new oxygen makes him that way hahaha
-
Here he is Tried to get him to take a bath hahaha

Mua...chatty? Gotta make up for lost time hahahaha. I've been on here answering unanswered posts that I can all day. It's about the only way I've figured out how to help with this moderating thing lol. Keeping me busy anyway while DH watches some "guy shows" on tv. Soup came out great....bread was good too...birds are having a field day on the broiled one hahaah I think they are walking alittle funny it being beer bread lol. OH I think I have a picture of my Petey I can share lol. I'll peek around
-
Hey Steph thanks for the link Some breads are hard to get down for me but, these might work and if not at least they'd be better for my DH on his low carb diet
-
Ms Mississippi..when was your fill and how aggressive was it?
-
Hello Wismer...these are definately all good questions for your surgeon or bariatric center so I highly recommend calling them as soon as you can. Possibly call the doc on call for the center or hospital you had your surgery. I know my bariatric center has a special crew on for calls on weekends or off hours. Could it be that you are allergic to latex and wasn't aware of it? i know the powder in the gloves makes me very itchy and lots of hospitals use those when taking care of you. I could definately tell there was something in my body around my stomach when my surgery was over but, I wasn't in any pain from it other than the incision sites. I hope you feel better soon...definately give your doc a call to play it safe. Good luck!
-
congrats Jfran..I know all too well how those plateaus are UGH. I'm glad you're through yours!
-
Hi Sheila...How big is your band and how much of a fill do you have? Could be that you're not at that "sweet spot" for restriction so yes you will feel the food move on through depending on what it is you're eating. If you're eating solid protein it will take longer to pass through. I know as I got more fills and got closer to my sweet spot I wasn't feeling the solids pass through like I sometimes could the softer stuff. It's feels kinda funny actually doesn't it Anyway...when you do get the fill that brings you to that perfect spot for you, you definately will have the food sitting longer on top Good luck.

Hello Yaz...I was told by my Bariatric Center NO SODA no way, no how unless it was flat. Reason being it's not nutrious at all, it's not a good resorce for hydration and if it's not diet it's loaded with calories but, mainly because the bubbles can expand the pouch created by the band. There really is no reason to drink it for me. I used drink Diet coke daily instead of water. I loved the stuff...then knowing I was getting the band I stopped drinking it the minute I started the process. I haven't had soda since the beginning of November 2005 and I have to say I haven't missed it at all. I did in the beginning but, I knew it was for good reasons I was giving it up. Good luck with your surgery and welcome to bandland
