Wait a minute...it's JUNE.....Do we have a new thread? I'll check and if not I'll set one up.
-
Do they have diapers on? I really don't wanna get chit on hahahaha
-
Man I wish I could get some weight CUT OFF and TUCKED AWAY hee hee

I see you're with BIDMC.....I had my surgery done there as well. Why not direct your questions to Dr. Schneider or one of the nurses. They should be able to help you right away. Is there a chance you're pregnant? Since you stopped taking your birth control pills and you're saying youre getting that sick feeling...could it be morning sickness? Good luck.

Congrats on getting over one of the hurdles of W/L surgery. Best wishes on the rest of your journey.

Would Love Feedback, Thanks!

Jomarie..I have read your entire post and you know that's just unreal what you've gone through. I do understand that sometimes the surgery is put off a week maybe because of an emergency but, seems odd to have this happen a few times at the same office. My surgeon also does emergency surgeries but, I was fully aware of that and there is a backup team too. So he schedules the WL surgeries on certain days of the week and his partner on the other days. I don't blame you for not going through with the surgery with this doctor of yours...there are other physicians out there and I'm sure you can find another that will give you the attention you deserve. ALWAYS always always go with your gut feeling...it's your body, your decision and your life that is effected by this surgery no one elses so do what's right for you. Have you located another physician/surgeon in your area? Interview the next center prior to making the commitment to have the surgery. If there is a Bariatric center near you even better because they're specifically there for Bariatric surgery and I have found those groups have more backup for each other and quicker to respond to your questions. Good luck! -
Kat no need to apologize at all. You've got alot going there my friend. Heck I think you're probably in more pain than I am, from your surgery. I do hope you're feeling better and things are healing up for you. Eileen - I hear ya on the fill thing...I took the chance and got the fill in April but, you know...it's as if I never had it. Some acid reflux at times yet I feel as if I can eat too much still and naturally because I can I'm tending to do that especially being stuck at home more UGH. I've gained weight instead of losing it at this point too. Disappointed in myself and I'll kick your butt if you'll kick mine if you think that will actually help us. I have a feeling I'd heal the wound by eating though. UGH. I just don't understand how having more fill in my band and all how I'm able to eat. I mean the doc put in quite a bit. Oy Vay! I really need to get to walking again once this neck of mine is healed up. Pat - speaking of surgeries, TTs and all.....are you all healed up now? How long does it take for the swelling to go down and you know you're true size after surgery? Always curious about that. I really wish I could get this apron taken off but, I still have more to lose.....unfortunately lately I'm going the wrong way in weight for that. How are you doing? Betty - How are you? Miss ya. My computer was on the blink for a while....DH had to take out Vista because I HATE IT and replace it back with XP. Being that I'm not one of his IT customers I had to wait my turn. grrrr It's up and running now but, now I have to download some programs that I like again. Looking forward to your posts Jetti - You really have done well with your weightloss. What type of exercising are you doing? You look awesome! Well my neck I thought was healing up because I was feeling pretty good Friday night and Saturday but, by Saturday afternoon the kink was knotting up again  I feel my head isn't on straight and I can't see my Chiro until Wed because of the holiday. I took my last flexiril last night and now I'm stuck only taking liquid Tylenol which doesn't really work well, I miss my Go Tabs! (Any clue why they stopped making Go Tabs those were awesome!) I actually have to log off now because I need to go ice this thing...it's buggin me. Oh good news...my car is fixable. Insurance didn't total it and get this......The guy that hit me actually called my insurance company and let them know it was all his fault! I couldn't believe it when I called my insurance about something else she told me. She said she was waving my deductible because he had called. He told her his insurance company paid him the value of his car because it was totalled and he really wanted to make sure I was taken care of because it was his fault. He's 22 and I do have to say he was apologizing at the accident scene and did call the emergency folks for me right away. He was also apologizing to my husband when he got there. It's nice to know there are honest people out there. So I got the check to fix my car yesterday and UGH they made it out to the car loan company, me and my husband but, I own the car outright. So now I have to send the check back and get it just under our name and to do that I have to fax my title to her. Geesh! Any other time I've had an accident the check was made out to the repair shop and me, I don't get this one. I have to get going....hopefully I'll catch you all before the June thread starts! Hugs to you all and enjoy your holiday....Remember those that gave us so much! "All gave some, some gave ALL" Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all our military folks and families past, present and future! xoxoxo

Waaahooo Kat I'm glad you're doing well. 12 pounds holy smokes.....heal up quick my friend.

Thanks Jetti and Mandy....man I'm sore today UGH. I have to get to work tomorrow but DH said he'd pick me up early if need be. We'll have to see how that goes. Welcome Trish

Hey everyone, Hope you're all doing well. Seems we've become a quiet group huh? A year ago we were all such gabbers we'd be on our 8 page by now but lately we're lucky we go beyond 2 pages before the next month's thread is created. I totally understand though because I've been so busy myself. I haven't been on here much since my last post on the 14th mainly because on my way to work on the 15th I got into a bad car accident. Ambulance ride for me because I hurt my neck, shoulders and back. I was rear-ended by a jeep wrangler that was going too fast and the driver said he looked away for one second and BOOM. Well, I was stopped behind a caravan that stopped for a bus in front of us. When I looked in my rearview mirror I could tell this guy was going way too fast and wasn't stopping so I tried to pull over onto the right breakdown/dirt but, I wasn't fast enough and he clobbered me and pushed me into the woman in front of me. She only got damage to her caravan on the passengers side breaklight and a scratch on her bumper but, I have damage to my front and back bumpers, front and back drivers side quarter panels and my back door was pushed in and wouldn't open. They took me out by ambulance on a board and my husband got there just as they put me in it. He said the cops had to have him back my CR-V into this guys Jeep because he had hooks on his front bumper and they were under and hooked on my back bumper. UGH. Anyway, I'm ok...just sore. Have to wear a collar when I'm shopping or in the car but, I can take it off at home. I've missed Thurs and Friday and now Today from work. Even more sore today actually. Chiro has been helping...gotta see him again on Wednesday. So anywho that's the excitement from my end of the world. Still waiting to hear if my car is fixable...I'm more concerned about the all wheel drive since I was kinda at an angle when the guy hit me. We'll see how it goes. Hugs to ya

Part of the problem of not losing when you've logged your food and your bugg showed the deficit for the day that you wanted is because, as my trainor told me, most people under estimate what they have eaten by about 40%. She said because we don't weigh and measure all our food will will get it wrong by about 40% plus she proved something else. She said she sometimes eats Lean Cuisine meals and the weights on those meals are off quite often. She said if you're eating a prepared meal to also weigh and measure those because you'll find the weight off. She said her Lean Cuisines were sometimes off by 50%. If any of you still have a session left with your trainor ask her/him about this. When you bodybugg said your average deficit was 600 it's because it had the chance to average out your entire week and so it took your entire weeks worth of cals burned, cals eaten and divided it by the pounds lost. Hope this helps. I'm trying to get back into using my bugg...like everything else I've tried after a while I lose interest...THANKFULLY, I can't lose interest in my band because it's a permanent fixture  Tis why I went for it, it keeps me from overdoing it and gets me back no track. I plan on putting on my bugg again tomorrow...buying my healthy foods today for easier choices and I'll be joining you folks again. Good luck everyone!

Good luck Kat I'll be thinking of you and wishing you the best and a speedy recovery  Have a great time with your friends too!

Testing 1 2 3 Hope everyone is doing well. Dang it's gotten cold around my parts of the world. The past few days I can't seem to get the chill out of my bones. Actually rode my motorcycle Sunday to bring my mother's gift to her house. DH put the windshield on and that helped quite a bit. I had to have him adjust it because I felt I had to stretch to see over it because seeing through it was distorting the road and I didn't like it. All better now  But it got so dang cold!

You're welcome and your surgery will come sooner than you think. Keep a positive outlook and I'm sure it's all going to work out. Sounds like the info is all there in the computer and records so I really don't see what the new PCP would do differently. He's going to want the patients to like him just like they did the PCP he took over for. Good luck! :tt1:

Lower abdomin pain, Please Help!
SherryW replied to miamipeaches467's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Miamipeaches - definately call your doc to play it safe. I can't say I've ever felt that type of pain...but it's always better safe than sorry. Definately call ok? -
Happy Mother's Day Everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
-
Katsen I wasn't banded in May but, wanted to congratulate you and welcome you to Bandland. Good luck and Best wishes!
-
Whew...lots of change. One thing to remember...if this new doc is taking over for your first PCP then wouldn't your new PCP have all the notes and records from your first PCP? IF that's the case....seems to me he'd have no reason to give you a hard time or make you jump through hoops :tt1: Just a thought. Good luck!
-
Maguirre67 Congrats on your surgery date. Good luck and best wishes with walking into bandland :tt1:

REady congrats on your artwork display. You have a right to your own expression just like anyone else. Good luck!

Is it possible to chew too much?
SherryW replied to NotABuckOFive's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Not sure you can chew too much ever really. But I would think it could pass through easier because you've now made it a mushy by chewing so much. I do know that fills are not a science so...is there a chance when your doc withdraws the Fluid to see how much is in there prior to filling that he's putting back in the same amount or so little more that you're not noticing the fill? I can be honest with you in saying I just had a fill last month and my doc put in literally .75cc more and yet I feel I can eat half a sandwich..or a whole one depending on how long I take and what it is. Yes...at night I do sometimes get reflux so I"m afraid to tighten it more. Finicky bands for sure sometimes. I wish I could help you more but, at least you know you're not alone. I think the key is to stop eating when you no longer feel hungry not necessarily when you feel full....definately two different feelings :tt1: Good luck -
Welcome Bren and congratulations on your surgery date. Ohhh there is lots of advice on this website..poke around a bit and feel free to ask. Best wishes with your upcoming surgery.

Alex has been making some changes to LBT trying to get the website to download faster and the threads to do the same when we go from page to page. That might of had something to do with it Kat but, not sure. Seems one day things here load very fast for me then another it's so slow that it timed out. I know he's been trying to improve things so maybe yesterday the email notifications were shut down for a bit. I wasn't getting mine either but, I got them this morning. Another thing I noticed was if I don't click on each one every time a new notification comes up then I don't get a new one until I've been in there for the first notification. Suppose that makes sense really because eventually I'm not active in some of the threads anyway. It's a little confusing for sure. I finally got that Government Stimulus check this week of course it's already spoken for having gotten my new bike and all. Just found out my son has to take a summer course before his regular college course too UGH. Dang course isn't cheap either...poor kid felt so bad but, like I told him......those courses are there for a reason, he's not the only one that occassionally has to take them. Better to do what they recommend than to struggle when the actual credit courses come around right? So we have to look into that now. This college stuff is alot of work to prepare for. As far as the reflux.....this is off and on for me. Drives me insane. It's kinda more like sour stomach at night. So my food isn't digesting correctly and it comes back at me. I've been trying not to eat anything after 7pm seems to help most days. Ya know it's not easy for a food addict to not eat when everyone else in the house is munchin. Kat....I'm excited about your TT for you. I've been thinking about that alot for myself but, I need to really lose some more weight. But man this apron thing is really ugly  Bet you can't wait huh?

Does this Aciphex come in pill form? We can take it with no trouble with our bands?
