    Pre testing confusion

I have to come to the well again I just went for my conciliation yesterday and I made appointments for my psyc evaluation and my first nutrition class. I called up a cardiologist for a stress test and because I have both knees bone on bone I can't hardly walk. 6/2 bmi 60 and 450lbsthey said the chemical stress test would be broken up into 2 days because of my weight. They will do it in the hospital. Why can't they do it in one visit?? Next I regret the getting a endoscopy I'm wondering if the hospital is the place I should get all the test. Any input would be s appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What's blowing my mind now is all the preop testing geeze lol I'm determined this time. Best regards Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Oh man... After 6 months of appointments and a bunch of other tasks, they just told me I needed 4 individual psych appointments. I feel your pain right now!! They really do fly by but I had a bit of sticker shock after everything else I had already done. I'm confident you will find the best surgery. Just keep an open mind (this does not mean a closed mouth- express your desire for the sleeve and why) and then really take the time to weigh the options out. You've got this!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Sammy thanks for the nice words and man alive brother 4 psych appointments that's crazy. Thanks for the reply I called my cardio at the end of the day and I guess it got to late to call me back but the last thing the nurse said was she would check with the doctor but because of my weight they would do it in 2 visits I will find out why on Monday and I agree I will try to push for one visit. As far as the endoscopy I haven't made any appointment yet what I meant was because of my high weight and bmi I think maybe I would be better off and safer getting it done in a hospital setting rather a surgery center. I been doing plenty reading here and learned so much in 2 days on this forum. Best regards Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Well it looks like if I lose 200 lbs it should do the trick for me so again the option he gave me was duodenal switch not RNY I had done research on the gastric sleeve so we shall see. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Great comments again he suggested the duodenal switch not the bypass I do agree I probably wouldn't want to go back for another surgery. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I have no Gerd he just thought I would lose more weight with the DS I'm at 60bmi.. Tonight I read on the 400 plus forum plenty people lost 200 and 300lbs with the sleeve. I read with the bypass there is more maintenance and post op doctor visits than the sleeve. I'm petrified of having my stomach rerouted. Thank goddess for this forum and all you great people.
